Background
Orange County, CA, based Bleeding Through was formed in 1998 under the name Breakneck, featuring Eighteen Visions' members Brandon Schieppati and Scott Danough. The band made its live debut as supporting act to Throwdown and Adamantium. Things were going well but some of the members wanted to go in a different direction and expand the hardcore sound to metal, so they changed their name to Bleeding Through and began writing new songs.
At the same time guitarist Javier Van Huss left and bassist Chad Tafolla took over his part. Bassist Marc Jackson was incorporated and the band released a 5- song demo. Marc then quit the band, so Bleeding Through recruited Vijay to play bass and added a brand new member- keyboardist Molly Street. Then they went to Doubletime Studios in San Diego to record the full length CD "'Dust to Ashes", which was released in March 2001. It was reckoned as a Cannibal Corpse, At The Gates and Hatebreed crossover and featured 5 new songs and all of the demo re- recorded.
In summer 2001, the band went through yet another lineup change- guitarist Chad left and Brian Leppke joined and Mick from 18 Visions took over the bass. Another album followed, "Portrait of the Goddess", released in 2002. The band then signed with New Jersey-based Trustkill Records.
Bleeding Through's third full length album "This Is Love, This Is Murderous" was released in September 2003 and received great response from fans and media. The following summer, the band was one of the second stage acts on Ozzfest 2004. Later on the same year, Bleeding Through was featured on Headbangers Ball Tour 2004, alongside Himsa, Arch Enemy and Cradle Of Filth.
After going through many member changes and finally finding the sound they wanted to create, the current lineup is: Brandan Schieppati (vocals), Brian Leppke (guitar), Scott Danough (guitar), Derek Youngsma (drums), Ryan Wombacher (bass) and Marta (keyboards).

Metal Videos To Get You In The Halloween Mood 4
All Hallow’s Eve has finally arrived and it’s just about time to get the debauchery going full swing. Whether you’re getting the altar set up for a black mass or you just plan on drinking until werewolves and vampires seem like legitimate concerns, there’s a host of metal videos to help get the evening started right.
Earlier this month we showcased horror themed videos that went way over the top, focused on the devil and his minions, and then dipped into the atmopsheric and creepy videos. Now that Halloween is here we’ll finish off with monsters, serial killers, and even a few bonus clips.
Bleeding Through – “Kill To Believe”
The “Kill To Believe” video is like its own little mini redneck hillbilly horror movie. If you’ve seen all the “Wrong Turn” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” movies a couple dozen times, this one’s for you.
Throwdown Announces "Brawloween" Tour Lineup
Throwdown has revealed a slew of new details surrounding the band's upcoming "Brawloween" tour happening later this month. The band has announced the following touring lineup which is comprised of both familiar faces as well as some guests:
DAVE PETERS (vocals) (Throwdown 2000 - present)
MARK MITCHELL (bass) (Throwdown 2007 - present)
DAVE NASSIE (guitar) (Bleeding Through / ex-No Use For A Name)
TIM "YOGI" WATTS (drums) (Demon Hunter, ex-The Showdown)
Front man Dave Peters comments, "I can't say I love having a chronically fragmented lineup for Throwdown, but it does leave the door open for cool opportunities like this. I'm VERY happy to be playing these shows with Yogi and Nassie as 'special guests' or whatever you want to call them under the circumstances. They're great guys and equally great musicians. It will be a cool thing for fans of the three bands too, as it's hard to say if or when we'd share a stage in the future. The only drawback is running the risk of them setting the sound bar too high for the next time we play in our backyard."
Throwdown will headline the first annual "Brawloween," a brand new tour event which will stretch across the West Coast with support from Carnifex, First Blood, and Suffokate. Details are as follows:
10/21 - San Diego, CA @ Soma
10/22 - Bakersfield, CA @ Jerrys Pizza
10/23 - Anaheim, CA @ Chain Reaction
10/24 - Tucson, AZ @ Skrappy's
10/25 - Phoenix, AZ @ Underground
10/26 - Las Vegas, NV @ Hard Rock Cafe
10/27 - Reno, NV @ The Alley
10/28 - Sacramento, CA @ The Boardwalk
10/29 - Temecula, CA @ The Vault
10/30 - Long Beach, CA @ Shore Ultra Lounge
10/31 - Canoga Park, CA @ Cobalt Cafe

Bleeding Through Posts New Album Break Down
Bleeding Through has posted a track-by-track break down of their new self-titled album through Alt Press. An excerpt from the break down follows:
A Resurrection: This is an instrumental piece Marta [Peterson, keyboards] and Dave [Nassie, guitar] wrote. The reason behind the title is, basically, the band have been around for quite a long time, and the last few years didn't end up [going] so well. So I guess the whole concept behind the song is just a new beginning and refreshing the idea of being in a band for more than 10 years and still having fun and making a career at it.
Anti-Hero: Every single song [on this album] has to do with the past and being a band for a decade, overcoming adversity and being labeled as a trend. This song is about [younger] bands coming up to you and saying that you're an inspiration to them and they thank you for your existence. You just take a step back and look at their band and don't agree with the way they run it and it's weird that they see you as an inspiration. I just don't agree with the way a lot of bands these days run their band.
Your Abandonment: Basically, this song is sort of about the heartbreak of being in a band. There are a lot of things that go into a band and doing this and it's a heartbreaking experience. You meet new people and they say, 'Thank you,' and that they love you, and two years later, they're gone. You see people who are more into this music because of trends [than the actual music] and that's hard.More...
