U.K. doomsters The Prophecy have revealed the cover art and track listing for their new album,
entitled “Salvation," which is due out on January 21st via Code666 records. The follow-up to 2009's “Into the Light” was produced and mixed by Greg Chandler (Esoteric) at Priory Studio and mastered by James Plotkin (Sunn O))), ISIS and Pelican). The track listing is as follows:
4. In Silence
Frontman Matt Lawson commented on the cover artwork: “The album cover is a departure from the style of the last three albums, but when Code666 announced we could package the disc in glorious digi-pak with a 12 page booklet we couldn't help but go to town a little. The design fits the music perfectly and really captures the feel of the album. Sam at Dose Productions has done a fabulous job with the art and layout making this a product you’ll really want to own.” More...

The organizers of the East Riding Rock 2010 festival, which was scheduled to take place from July 16th - 18th, have issued the following update about canceling the festival:
"It is with great regret that we have to announce that the 2010 East Riding rock festival has been canceled, we were going to put a statement up this weekend once we had ensured all the bands had heard, but as usual someone got wind on Facebook and quite frankly couldn't hold their own piss and blabbed it everywhere. The reasons behind this are spiraling costs and poor pre-festival ticket sales, we can't even cover our pre-festival overheads ( some of which we will still have to pay from our own pockets).
"Anyone who has bought a ticket will receive a full refund! It will take us a few weeks to sort this out so please be patient but rest assured no one will be ripped off. Any band who hasn't had a personal email yet they are on the way this is a hasty blog to stay any rumors that a flying around. there will be a longer full statement in due course. Once again we are sorry that it has come to this but financially the festival was unavailable." More...

Yorkshire doom-death metallers THE PROPHECY will release their new album, "Revelations" (cover), in January 2007 through NoFace Records. However, the band will be making copies of the CD available on their upcoming the Days Of Reckoning Tour 2006, which is scheduled to kick off late October.
To order a copy of "Revelations", visit THE PROPHECY's official web site.
THE PROPHECY previously stated about the upcoming CD: "The album was started in February 2004 when we did the first pre-productions after writing the songs after the Doomination of Europe in 2003 and we actually aired a few of the songs on the Doomination of America tour and the subsequent Unholy Trinity tour with MY DYING BRIDE.
From MY DYING BRIDE's official website:
"This just in: Shaun Steels has injured his ankle in a canoeing accident before Christmas. At first it was thought to be not very serious, but at the recent filming of The Blue Lotus video it turned out that the drumming has caused the injury to reappear. John from THE PROPHECY has agreed to stand in until Shaun has recovered. The band is now actively writing new stuff, rehearsing for and organising gigs.
