Burn Halo, featuring former Eighteen Visions singer/songwriter, will be releasing their self-titled debut March 10 on Rawkhead Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group).
The album’s first single, “Dirty Little Girl,” which features a guest appearance by Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates, is already getting spins on radio stations around the country, and is in regular rotation on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s “Octane” station. A video for the track was recently shot in at the Slide Bar in Orange County, CA with Nate Weaver (Against Me!, Taking Back Sunday) at the director’s helm, and will hit the TV and Internet airwaves within the coming weeks.
Anyone who was watching the Dallas Cowboys/Baltimore Ravens football game on the NFL Network on Saturday, December 20 might have heard another song from the album, “Our House,” during the broadcast. After honing their skills on the road most recently with Chiodos and Silverstein, Escape the Fate is set to headline their own six-week US tour beginning on February 5 in Pomona, CA. Tickets for all shows go on sale Saturday December 13. Main support on the tour courtesy of Florida's Black Tide with additional support from Attack Attack, William Control (Aiden) and Burn Halo (ex-Eighteen Visions).
Escape the Fate's recent release "This War is Ours" has kept the scene buzzing since its release on October 21 via Epitaph Records. Introducing vocalist Craig Mabbit (formerly of Blessthefall) and produced by John Feldmann (the Used, Story of the Year), the new record caused Buzznet.com to crash when a flurry of fan activity surrounding the release of the first single, "The Flood," overwhelmed the social networking giant's servers.

Keith Barney, formerly of Eighteen Visions and Throwdown, among others, is now part of a new Orange County, California hardcore band called Monument to Thieves. The group also features David Richardson (As Hope Dies, Force Of Change) on vocals and Matt Horwitz (The Agony Scene, Adamantium) on drums.
The group has posted two newly recorded demo tracks on their MySpace page and will play their first show on October 26th at the Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA.
Earlier this month Southern California metal/hardcore outfit Love Thyne added former Eighteen Visions and Throwdown member Keith Barney to their line-up on guitar. The group recently recorded some new demo material, which can be found online on the band's MySpace page.
NEVER ENOUGH, featuring ex-members of 18 VISIONS and LYLAH, have posted a free Mp3 download of the track “To The Bottom” online through the Corporate Punishment Podcast at the following location.
The track comes from NEVER ENOUGH’s debut, self-titled album which will be available digitally through iTunes and other major digital retailers on November 20th and in stores on December 4th.
Corporate Punishment has announced the signing of Orange County’s NEVER ENOUGH (aka N3V3R 3N0U6H), the new project featuring Eighteen Visions’ guitarist (and ex-Throwdown vocalist/ Death by Stereo guitarist) Keith Barney and Drummer Trevor Friedrich, and Lylah Vocalist/Guitarist Norman Matthew.
The band will release their self produced, as-yet-untitled, debut EP on 9/11 via Corporate Punishment/Koch.
Said Guitarist/Producer Barney, "N3 is an outlet for all the love, rage and sadness in our lives. We know there are people out there that are just like us, people who still truly care about what's going on in the world around them and not just what's right in front of them."
On differences from his past project Barney adds, "lyrically we touch on politics and some other things which never happened in 18v. It's more message and idea driven, really trying to connect with people. There are songs that hit every spectrum of emotions - heavy and pissed, quiet and personal. It’s really important to me that people don’t just see this as an 18V spin-off."
As for the numbers, "everything is based in numbers- population, salaries, status, polls. Numbers represent a lot of the bad things in the world and the le tters represent communication and the things we need more of. People just can't seem to fucking get enough. Can't kill enough. Can't steal enough. Can't get thin enough. Can't get rich enough. You name it and people want more of it."
Ex-Eighteen Visions members Keith Barney and Trevor Friedrich have joined forces in a group dubbed Never Enough, you can check them out here.
Orange County, California rock (one-time metal) band Eighteen Visions has called it quits. Formed in 1996, the band released several albums with Trustkill Records before jumping to Epic Records in 2004. Bassist Mick Morris sent Lambgoat a band statement:
"After several years of touring and quite a few album releases we have decided that it is time to go our seperate ways. We have been a band for a very long time and feel good about everything we were able to accomplish. At this point in our lives and our careers we feel its time to move on to something fresh and new. Whether it be music, touring or just being at home to live and enjoy life. We would like to thank all of our fans, friends and families for all of the great support over the years. We would also like to thank all of the bands we have shared the stage with and everyone who has ever worked with the band, opened a door or reached out a hand. We will be playing our final two shows in April. One in San Diego and one in Orange County. Come rock with us one more time."
So Cal-based metal band Eighteen Visions has added new dates to its in-progress tour, which is a mix of opening slots for Hinder and Staind, along with headlining gigs through mid-December.
The outing supports the Eighteen Visions' self-titled album, which was released in July. The recording is a massive leap forward from 2004's "Obsession," bringing a more arena-rock approach to many of the songs, the band said in a message posted at its website.
"People who thought they had us figured out will hear this album and be surprised," singer James Hart said.
