Ohio metallers Acheron have issued the following recap about their recent performance in Colombus:
"Legions of Hatred,
"ACHERON would like to thank all their fans and friends who showed up at the Columbus, Ohio, show (September 3rd, 2009) and showed their support! It was a pretty damn good turn out for a Thursday Night! Even though this city is full of Hip Hop wannabees, you showed that there is still a strong Metal following pulsating in the shadows.
"We would also like to thank INCANTATION for being true fucking brothers and having us play with them. (Kyle had a nice workout last night doing 2 sets! LOL) Of course, they kicked ass as usual! Also hails to INFERNAL DEATH and THE COUNCIL for playing killer sets.
"Since Columbus is our home, we would really like to help build a bigger Metal community. Check out as many Local and National Metal acts playing in town, when you are able. We all know people have to work and have busy lives, but when you can actually make it out to a show, it does help the scene immensely! And if you are playing here, let everyone know! Most of the time our own friends don’t even let us know they are playing! So keep everyone updated, Mother Fuckers! (Ha, Ha) So thanks again for the support! We hope to see all of you again at THE BILLARD CLUB (Columbus, Ohio) on September 18th, 2009! The show will feature some killer bands, such as DARKNESS UNDYING, STRIGOI VII, AFTERLIGHT and one more un-announced band. We should be going on stage around Midnight. And yes, the set will be much longer than last night.
"Keep the Unholy Heathen Metal Flags waving! Let the world know that Underground Metal is here forever! Fuck their trendy bullshit!
"In Blood and Blasphemy……"

Ohio-based black/death metal band ACHERON has issued the following update:
"The infamous Satanic black/death metal band ACHERON has recently finished up their new 2008 demo. This will let the fans get to hear the new material and be able to comment on what they think of it.
"There are three songs featured on the new demo:
01. Power And Might
02. Godless? (We Are Gods!)
03. Rise Of Rebellion
"These songs will be re-recorded for the next ACHERON album, which will be entitled 'The Final Conflict'. So check out the new ACHERON page and join their 'friends' list. Comments are always welcomed! And interested record labels can contact the band there also."

You can check out the recordings at this location.
For the above mentioned "tribute show," Symbolic shared the stage with Bobby Koelble (Symbolic album), Shannon Hamm, Scott Clendenin (The Sound Of Perseverance album), Daniel Mongrain (Martyr), Marc-André Gingras (Quo Vadis), Jonathan Lee (The Autumn Offering, ex-Acheron), and Nick Barker (ex-Dimmu Borgir/Cradle Of Filth drummer).
All the profits from the show, which was recorded for an upcoming DVD release, will be divided between Schuldiner's foundation for cancer research and a local foundation.

Ohio-based black/death metal band ACHERON has welcomed back guitarist Stacey Connolly into its unholy fold for some live performances. Connolly has agreed to fill the second guitarist slot for several shows and appear on the upcoming ACHERON live DVD. According to the bandmembers, Stacey "is working out very well and it is great working with him again." But this is not a permanent position, since Stacey lives in West Virginia and already plays in the band LIFE IS LOST.
Commented band founder Vincent Crowley: "Stacey never left the band on bad terms and we have continued to be friends even after he left. We asked him to do us a favor by filling in and he agreed. It was much easier to go this route, since he already knew many of the songs we were doing. Much better than teaching a new guitarist a whole fucking set worth of stuff. Not to mention he put time into the band in the past, so having him appear on the upcoming live DVD just seemed like the right thing."
ACHERON's current touring lineup:
Vincent Crowley (Vocals and Bass)
Kyle Severn (Drums)
Max Oxworth (Guitar)
Stacey Connolly (Guitar)
After playing the of the Gathering of the Bestial Legion III festival in Hollywood, California earlier in the month, ACHERON parted ways with hired rhythm guitarist Jason Phillips. A replacement guitarist is currently being sought.
For more information, visit the band's MySpace page.

The CD will include bonus tracks of demo versions of songs featured on the album. The re-release is expected out before the end of 2006.
Even though ACHERON is presently on a hiatus, it is rumored that the band will be doing select shows where they will perform the "Rites of the Black Mass" album in its entirety from beginning to end to celebrate the upcoming re-release. It is also believed that band founder Vincent Crowley has been talking to the group's "Rites of the Blass Mass" lineup about reuniting for these select shows. However, it should be noted that there has been no official confirmation regarding these rumored activities.
