Acheron To Release New Music Video This Saturday
Blackened death metallers Acheron will release their new music video for the song “I am Heathen," which is off their new album “The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God," this Saturday, November 21st, 2009. This is the first professionally filmed music video the band has done in their 20 plus years of existence.
Band front man Vincent Crowley explains the concept behind the video: “The video is about embracing the life of being a Heathen. Many people struggle with what is wrong or right, good or evil. When they go against the norm, the guilt eats away at them. Heathens don’t have negative feeling about embracing their true nature. Temptation doesn’t weaken us because in the end we control it! Lots of the symbolism in the video shows just that.”
Acheron Signs To Ibex Moon Records
Blackened death metallers Acheron have signed with Ibex Moon Records for the U.S. release of their latest album "The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God." Commented bassist/vocalist Vincent Crowley: "We have really been wanting to have someone license our new album, 'The Final Conflict: Last Days of God', in the United States to help give us more of a push in our own country. When Ibex Moon stepped up and signed a deal with Displeased Records, we were very excited. John McEntee from Ibex Moon has really put his label/company on the map. Ibex Moon has great distribution and has been releasing excellent albums from killer bands. Our goals are to start promoting the new album as much as possible and get this new musical creation to all the American metal fans! And as we do this, we hope for all the fans to show their support and actually go out and buy a copy of the new CD. Don't let downloading replace the option of buying CD's! We promise those who get the new album won't be disappointed in their purchase."
The album, the band's first in six years, is out now in Europe and will be released on November 24 in the U.S. "The Final Conflict: Last Days of God" was once again recorded at Mars Recording Compound with Bill Korecky and was mastered at West West Side Music in New Windsor, New York. The follow-up to 2003's "Rebirth: Metamorphosing into Godhood" is a concept album based on the fall of the three major religions, Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Acheron To Play New Jersey Deathfest
Acheron has announced they will be playing at the New Jersey Deathfest this Sunday, October 18th. The promotional poster for the festival can be found here. The Deathfest occurs over three days at the following locations:

"ACHERON would like to thank all their fans and friends who showed up at the Columbus, Ohio, show (September 3rd, 2009) and showed their support! It was a pretty damn good turn out for a Thursday Night! Even though this city is full of Hip Hop wannabees, you showed that there is still a strong Metal following pulsating in the shadows.
"We would also like to thank INCANTATION for being true fucking brothers and having us play with them. (Kyle had a nice workout last night doing 2 sets! LOL) Of course, they kicked ass as usual! Also hails to INFERNAL DEATH and THE COUNCIL for playing killer sets.
"Since Columbus is our home, we would really like to help build a bigger Metal community. Check out as many Local and National Metal acts playing in town, when you are able. We all know people have to work and have busy lives, but when you can actually make it out to a show, it does help the scene immensely! And if you are playing here, let everyone know! Most of the time our own friends don’t even let us know they are playing! So keep everyone updated, Mother Fuckers! (Ha, Ha) So thanks again for the support! Acheron Seeking Supporting Bands For Tour
Acheron has issued the following update about seeking supporting bands for their upcoming European tour dates:
"BRUCHSTEIN is looking only for 'buy on' bands for the upcoming 2010 ACHERON European Tour. Bands must understand that their only income is their merchandise sales. Bands are responsible for their transport to the first and back from the last Show. (flights)
"We provide and we are responsible for:
- Booking for the whole tour
- Nightliner doubledecker (Tourbus with bunks)
- Complete backline (heads and cabinets for bass and guitar, drumset)
- Tourmanager
- Merchseller (he is getting 10 % of you incomes as his fee)
- Food and Dinks to every show
