The Resurrection Sorrow is preparing to digitally release a new EP, dubbed "The Scorpion Savior Sessions." The band has been streaming the songs on its website for the last few months, and is now prepared to sell the release digitally as well.
The band recorded and the tracks for the new EP over this past winter, and once again the group enlisted hometown NYC engineer Joe Hogan (Nebula, The Atomic Bitchwax), who recorded TRS‘ 2009 debut album, "Hour Of The Wolf," and had the tracks mastered by Fred Kevorkian (Iggy Pop, Willie Nelson).

The previously announced Horns Up Rocks showcase for The Resurrection Sorrow this Monday, March 28th has been moved to Fontana's. The band has also confirmed that Chris Hamilton (Bloodsimple, Crisis, Bloodclot, etc.) will be joining on drums for this show. The details for the free shows are as follows:

New York City's The Resurrection Sorrow recently put three new tracks to tape as the band continues to write new material for the follow-up to 2009's full-length "Hour Of The Wolf." Stay tuned for more updates on The Resurrection Sorrow over the coming weeks.
New York City act The Resurrection Sorrow is currently hard at work on the band's next release. The Resurrection Sorrow is again working with NYC-based producer Joe Hogan (Nebula, The Atomic Bitchwax) as on the act's debut album, 2009's "Hour Of The Wolf." But the band have also hit a snag, as the lineup shifted and two members recently fled the unit. The Resurrection Sorrow is now seeking a new full-time lead guitarist and drummer to fill out the band lineup once again, complete the new recordings, and get back on the road. The ideal candidates have pro-level chops, live and studio experience and the flexibility to tour when the opportunities present themselves. New York doom rockers THE RESURRECTION SORROW kick off their next wave of hot-ass summer tour action this Thursday. The band have several shows booked in Connecticut and upstate New York this week, next week they migrate south of the Mason-Dixon line to cause some chaos in Virginia, Washington DC and Kentucky, and later in August they'll be hitting New York City, Delaware and more.

New York City doom metal band THE RESURRECTION SORROW has announced an upper East Coast tour in June. The recently confirmed tour bears the lengthy tag "The Unholy Divine Tour Part II: Doom In June Weekend Warpath Style." The tour starts this Friday at the annual Feel Your Boobies Breast Cancer Benefit in State College, Pennsylvania.
After the recent departure of skinsman Louie Gasparro, THE RESURRECTION SORROW have enlisted the help of longtime friend Bill Angelini -- also a previous bandmate of TRS bassist Alex Coelho in NYC act Malstrom -- rounding out the TRS lineup by vocalist Alex Dementia and guitarist Zak Gross.

New York rockers The Resurrection Sorrow have announced an upcoming lineup change to the unit. Drummer Louie Gasparro will be leaving the band this May to pursue personal interests. The band issued the following statement about the change: "Louie gave his all on stage and on the road and has been crucial in lifting TRS off the ground and setting this behemoth in motion. Louie's personal commitments has led to his decision to bow out."
Mr. Gasparro's replacement will be named at a later date. His last show with the band will be this May 15th in Brooklyn, when The Resurrection Sorrow unveil their recently completed comic book, dubbed "Vrykolkas: The Unholy Release Party." The comic, which features art by Isaac Carey Nejako and cover art by Seldon Hunt, was written by The Resurrection Sorrow vocalist Alex Dementia.
