"Widowmaker" is set for a November 6th release on CD and MP3 and a November 13th release on vinyl and consists of three tracks that combine into 40 minutes of pure aural debauchery. The album was produced by Tom Dring in three sessions spanning the past three years and has been described by the band as "complete misery, depression, and isolation" akin to "snapping the bones of the weak and crushing their shrunken skulls." The new release by the elusive U.K. extreme metal act Dragged Into Sunlight has finally come to fruition. "Widowmaker" – which, the band stresses, is not to be considered a follow-up to the 2010 debut "Hatred For Mankind" (reissued by Prosthetic in 2011) – is set to be released on November 6 in North America, November 5 in the U.K. and November 9 in Germany.
"Widowmaker" was produced by Tom Dring during three recording sessions over the course of two years and includes additional guitars by an unnamed member of U.K. cult metal band Bossk. The grueling 40-minute, three-track album has been described by the band as "everything heavier and everything louder than everything else" with "an oppressing overtone of complete misery, depression, and isolation."
The members of Dragged Into Sunlight keep their idenities hidden by appearing masked in photos and playing with their backs to the audience in near-total darkness. More information on "Widowmaker" will be revealed in the coming week

Prosthetic Records has signed the U.K. act Dragged Into Sunlight to a worldwide recording contract. This marks the first signing of a U.K. band for the label, which will re-release the Dragged Into Sunlight's album "Hatred For Mankind" in April, 2010. The album, recorded by Tom Dring and Billy Anderson, was originally released in 2009 by Mordgrimm Records.
The band, who appear masked in photos, play in near total darkness and smoke and do not publicize their individual names. Dragged Into Sunlight commented about today's heavy music scene: "A few blastbeats, a scrawled logo and people accept it, regardless of the reality. Dragged Into Sunlight is a concept, we've taken the time to come up with our own understanding and presentation of what we want to see associated with extreme metal in 2009 and beyond."
