Black Tusk Offering Free Track Download

Black Tusk is offering a free download of the track "Set the Dial to Your Doom" exclusively through RCRD LBL at this location. The download comes from the band's new album "Set the Dial," which saw an October 24th release via Relapse Records.

Lake Bukkake Added To Metal Suckfest

The Metal Suckfest -- the 2-day, 20-band, MetalSucks-curated metal festival being held at NYC's Gramercy Theater on November 4th and 5th -- has made a last minute addition to its Day 1 roster: NYC pornogrind act Lake Bukkake will open the fest, prior to headliners Municipal Waste, God Forbid, Today is the Day, Howl, Black Tusk, and many more. Metalsucks commented:

"After months and months and months of negotiations — and by 'negotiations,' we mean 'us pestering and begging them constantly' — the group has FINALLY agreed to emerge from their shell to play the opening set on Day 1 of The Metal Suckfest, one week from today, Friday, November 4. The band will play both I Left My Heart…and 1996's Shut Up it’s Good for Your Complexion in their entirety. (The combined running time of both albums is less than fifteen minutes.)

"They also PROMISED us to debut at LEAST two songs from Chinese Bukkakacy, which they have, indeed, been working on for awhile (although apparently it may not be called that anymore — 'The idea seemed pretty funny in 2006, not so much anymore,' the band told us by e-mail)."

Black Tusk Offering Free Song Download

Black Tusk is offering a free download of the track "Bring Me Darkness" exclusively at iTunes here. The download, available for one week only, comes from the new album "Set the Dial," which saw an October 24th release via Relapse Records.

Black Tusk has kicked off a string of regional shows, including two dates as direct support of Mastodon. Following these dates, the band will begin a headlining Eastern U.S. tour starting Nov. 2nd in Charlotte, NC and running through mid-November, including a stop as part of the Metal Suckfest in New York, NY. More Bands Added To The Metal Suckfest Lineup

The inaugural Metal Suckfest, a 2-day metal festival set to take place on November 4th and 5th at New York City's Gramercy Theater, has announced four additional bands have been added to the lineup. All Pigs Must Die and This is Hell will appear on Friday, November 4th alongside Municipal Waste, while Three and Last Chance to Reason will open for Cynic on Saturday, November 5th. The lineup is as follows:

Black Tusk Streaming "Crossroads And Thunder"

Black Tusk is streaming the new track "Crossroads and Thunder" from the band's forthcoming album "Set the Dial" through Noisecreep. Head over here to check out the track. "Set The Dial" is currently set for an October 25th North American release date, as well as October 31st internationally.

Black Tusk Streaming New Single

Black Tusk is currently streaming the first single from the forthcoming release "Set the Dial" on the band's Facebook Page. The song "Bring Me Darkness," along with the album's artwork, can be heard by heading over to this location. The artwork was designed by John Dyer Baizley, who has illustrated all of the band's releases.

More Bands Announced For Metal Suckfest

MetalSucks has announced the latest batch of bands to appear at The Metal Suckfest, a concert event this fall spanning two days and featuring 20 bands. As previously announced, Municipal Waste will headline the first night, Friday, November 4th, while Cynic will headline the second night, Saturday, November 5th, at NYC's Gramercy Theater.

Black Tusk Posts Demo Version Of New Song

Black Tusk has posted a demo version of "Ender of All" online now at the band's Facebook page, which can be found by heading over here.

"Ender of All" is one of the ten brand new tracks that embody the band's forthcoming full-length album "Set The Dial." Black Tusk recorded "Set The Dial" this past June in Seattle, WA with engineer Jack Endino (HIGH ON FIRE, SOUNDGARDEN, BRUCE DICKINSON).

"Set The Dial" is currently set for an October 25th North American release date, October 31st internationally. Additional release information will be posted shortly.

Black Tusk saw the recent re-issue of debut album "Passage Through Purgatory" this past May. The re-mastered album with bonus tracks is currently streaming online now through the Black Tusk Bandcamp page.

Black Tusk Announces New Shows

Black Tusk will play a handful of shows this weekend around Georgia and North Carolina. The Savannah show will be the band's first home-town performance in over six months. Black Tusk has been writing for a new full-length album and will be playing many new songs during these shows.

Black Tusk will enter the studio in June with engineer Jack Endino (HIGH ON FIRE, SOUNDGARDEN, BRUCE DICKINSON) to begin recording the band's third full-length album and follow-up to "Taste The Sin." The as-yet-untitled album is expected to see a late fall 2011 release. Additional recording / album information will be posted shortly.

Black Tusk also sees the re-issue of debut album "Passage Through Purgatory" later this month through Relapse Records. The track can be heard now through the Black Tusk MySpace profile. "Passage Through Purgatory" has been re-mastered, re-packaged with expanded John Dyer Baizley artwork, and includes two bonus tracks. The re-issue will be released on May 24th and will be available on CD, 12” vinyl, and digitally.

Black Tusk Announces European Tour With Howl

Black Tusk and Howl will team up for a co-headlining European tour starting in early February. This will be the first time either band has toured Europe and will be doing so in support of their Relapse debuts. The month-long tour will kick-off on February 4th in Germany and cover a dozen countries.

Black Tusk released its Relapse debut, "Taste The Sin," in May and is currently out on a three-week U.S. tour alongside Crowbar. Howl is also currently on tour in the U.S., rounding out dates with Every Time I Die on the "Shit Happens: The Tour." The four week tour kicked off earlier this month with remaining stops in Pittsburgh, South Hackensack, and Cleveland. Howl released the new full-length "Full Of Hell" this past spring, which is streaming in its entirety at this location.
