Biohazard Reveals New Album Artwork
Biohazards has just revealed the cover art for the band's new album "Reborn In Defiance," which is set to be unleashed January 20th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.
Danny Schuler says, "Being a huge fan of vinyl records and the amazing sleeve artwork that used to come with them, I really wanted our artwork to be unique. In the spirit of being REBORN IN DEFIANCE, the album cover represents to me an interesting paradox: an embryo, not yet spoiled by the world, but already possessing the heart of a rebel."
Billy Graziadei explains, "The innocence of youth has always been a strong subject for us, with the children playing over a crime scene on the Urban Discipline album cover to the child running with a biological gas mask on the State of the World Address cover. For REBORN IN DEFIANCE, an unborn child waits to be thrown into a world that will steal the untainted purity of infancy we all start out with."
Danny sums up the cover art's significance quite simply: "It all begins in the womb."
To get some first sonic impressions, surf to the band's Facebook profile and check out "Come Alive" and "Vengeance Is Mine."

More Bands Confirmed For Soundwave Festival 2012
Although it wasn't expected until December, the organizers of Australia's Soundwave Festival have made their second band announcement. Joining the 60 bands already announced are Staind, Wednesday 13, Unearth, Cathedral, Shadows Fall, Heaven Shall Burn, Your Demise, Kittie, and 14 other (mostly non-metal) bands.
Hole has pulled out of the festival after frontwoman Courtney Love refused to play before Limp Bizkit. Soundwave boss AJ Maddah said on Twitter that he was "relieved we got the moody old cow off the bill. [There’s] no point talking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up & act like a rotten twat to other artists, fans, etc."
A third announcement in early December will add another five bands to the lineup, and Danzig is one of the confirmed possibilities. More...

Biohazard Posts Video Teaser For New LP
Biohazard posted a new video teaser on Metal Hammer for the upcoming release "Reborn In Defiance," which is scheduled for release on January 20, 2012 (shown below). The release will mark the final album of bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, who left earlier in the year.
Attika 7 Working On Debut Album
Attika 7 is a brand new force in the ever-evolving heavy metal world, featuring Evan Seinfeld (formerly of Biohazard), lead guitarist, songwriter and famed motorcycle builder Rusty Coones, bassist Tony Campos (founding member of Static X, who also currently performs in Soulfly), and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer from Walls of Jericho and Bury Your Dead fame. Attika 7 will be releasing a debut album later this year and is currently working on a first video for the single "Serial Killer."
Evan feels that Attika 7 is the beginning of a new chapter. “As much as Biohazard has been the biggest part of my musical past and my main musical focus for more than two decades, it is time for me to do something new. It is time for me to cement my musical future. I continue to stand behind the ideals projected in songs I wrote like ‘Down For Life’... and philosophies like standing up for what you believe in no matter what and sticking by your true friends and family to the end! I have so many creative ideas that needed a new home to flourish and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a member of Attika 7!”
“It is time for me to go on to something exciting and fresh to pursue my dreams and expand my horizons in a more positive situation for me,” adds Evan. “Biohazard is a band that I personally conjured and founded in 1987 and helped me to realize many of my dreams, see the world, and connect with many fans everywhere. I hope to keep the memory of Biohazard where it belongs, in a place of dignity and respect!”
