Machinae Supremacy Posts Guitar Playthrough

Video game-inspired Swedish metal group Machinae Supremacy's new album "Into The Night World" is hitting stores on December 16th, 2016 via the band's own Hubnester Records, in collaboration with Swedish music company BD Pop.

Machinae Supremacy's 8-bit-laden, alt-power metal tunes are backed by the notable technical prowess of guitar duo Jonas Rörling and Tomi Luoma. Today, fans get a look at a guitar playthrough for the band's newest single, "My Dragons Will Decimate." Check it out below.

Tomi Luoma discusses the gear used on the track: "For 'My Dragons Will Decimate' I used a Jackson Kelly with active EMG pickups to record those balls-out metal riffs over Nicky's epic old-school VGM synth tracks. We use the ElevenRack for all guitars, but sometimes we just line in and use software FX like Amplitube to get the right sound. Dragons has a little bit of both."

1. My Dragons Will Decimate
2. Into The Night World
3. Twe27ySeven
4. Remember Me
5. Space Boat
6. Stars Had To Die So That You Could Live

Machinae Supremacy Reveals New Album Details

There's a big difference between video game-inspired metal and actual "video game metal." Machinae Supremacy proves that difference, owning the title with an 8-bit power metal onslaught that sounds like it could have been the symphonic soundtrack to your favorite 80's Nintendo game.

After several independent releases and following with five albums released through international metal label Spinefarm Records, Machinae Supremacy has taken matters back into the band's own hands with upcoming new album, "Into The Night World," hitting stores on December 16th, 2016.

The album is coming via Machinae Supremacy's own Hubnester Records, in collaboration with Swedish music company BD Pop. Pre-orders will be available via iTunes soon. Vocalist Robert Stjärnström states:

"Going back to being independent has truly sparked our creativity and energized us in the most amazing way. Into The Night World is in some ways more simplistic than our last album, but somehow it manages to be both more playful and more sophisticated. There is still a story, but all of that is encapsulated in pure, straight-forward songs, each with its own separate, parallel meaning and purpose." More...

Machinae Supremacy Cancels Upcoming Shows

Machinae Supremacy has been on the "WTF" tour in Europe alongside Urizen, but remaining dates for the tour have been scrapped. Machinae Supremacy comments:

"Unfortunately we have to cancel our upcoming shows in Germany and The UK. On the morning of September 5th our bus driver Stefan, Gordon's father, suffered a stroke while driving between Turku to Tampere, Finland.

"Fortunately, Jonne, Gordon and Mika were very quick to react and managed to get down to him, take over and stop the bus, narrowly averting what could have been a catastrophic accident. The bus sustained some damage as it hit the highway guardrail, but everyone in the band and the rest of the crew is okay.

"Stefan was rushed to the hospital in Tampere and prepped for surgery, and we couldn't even see him. We were told there was nothing we could do for him. Instead of just sitting and waiting, we decided to go ahead and play the Tracon-X show, with the events of the day like a dark cloud over everything.

"The next two shows were in Sweden and we knew that whatever happens we have to get all the people and the bus and minivan back to Sweden either way, so we started heading back on the 6th. Gordon's mom and sister and Stefan's sister flew in to Tampere to be there with Stefan, who was still in critical condition due to complications during surgery. More...
