Voodoo Terror Tribe recently announced the November 11th, 2016 release of third full-length offering, entitled "The Sun Shining Cold."
Today, Voodoo Terror Tribe is revealing another new track from "The Sun Shining Cold," entitled "Cell" (featuring guest vocals by producer Cristian Machado of Ill Niño). Check out a lyric video for the song below.
Guitarist Emir Erkal states, "'Cell' is a song we've been kicking around for a while; a brainchild of our bassist Primer. It wasn't until entering the studio with our producer Cristian Machado that the song finally fleshed out into the monster it became: a guttural/melodic/schizophrenic exchange of words between an insane girl and what are either her captors, or simply the demons in her head. And an analogy of the fact that working with the Machado-nado drove us *bleeping* bat-shit crazy."
Cristian Machado adds, "'Cell' is a metal maze, you know what you're in for when you're inside but you won't figure out any of the turns upon first observation. Each part in the arrangement truly speaks on its own. The song as a whole is anthemic, the riffs are crushing, the lyrics are romantically obscene, and the stench of old school metal vibe is everywhere.
"I remember experimenting endlessly with the chord progression for the chorus. It is not easy adding unforced melody into such a metallic composition but, if you're not pushing walls you're a prisoner to them and I am so grateful to work with bands that truly want their own spin. VTT & 'Cell,' I love this song, I love this album, it's unlike anything out there." More...
On November 11th, Voodoo Terror Tribe will release third full-length offering "The Sun Shining Cold." You can pre-order the album now via Bandcamp. The 10-track album delivers in-your-face hard rock anthems, soaring ballads and alt-metal scorchers;
Produced by Ill Niño lead vocalist Cristian Machado, "The Sun Shining Cold" was recorded at Sound Wars Studios in Hoboken, NJ and mixed at Fuel Music Studios in Anaheim, CA.
"This album is possibly one of the best metal albums I've ever been a part of," states Machado. "You don't always get to work with such talented musicians who just so happen to be mature and dedicated to bringing something fresh to the evolution of the genre. I comfortably refer to them as 'haunted metal' but in all honesty they are a new breed of metal yet to be heard under this style and context. In my heart of hearts, I truly believe they are here to contribute an impressive approach and styling to the evolution of metal."
Guitarist Emir Erkal adds, "We know the scene, and the scene knows us, but we're coming at this with full force in a new way with a new sound. This is an album full of surprises, with heavy guitars and crushing drums, yet melodic and catchy tunes with layers of haunting, mysterious, electronic and industrial sounds. The record features mainly dark, twisted themes within a post-apocalyptic concept."
Bassist Primer adds, "It feels like the culmination of what we've been doing for a long time as Voodoo Terror Tribe power grooves, crushing guitars, catchy, but dark melodies - but taken to a new level." More...
New Jersey's heavy alt-rock artists from Voodoo Terror Tribe are currently on the road with Latin metal kings Ill Niño on the "15 Years of Revolution" tour.
The band is gearing up to release a new album, "The Sun Shining Cold," later this year that was produced by Ill Niño vocalist Cristian Machado. In anticipation of the album's release, Voodoo Terror Tribe is pleased to reveal a music video for new single "City of Sixes."
The clip was directed by Scott Hansen (Motionless in White, A Day To Remember, We Came As Romans) and produced by Mary Dixon and Bedelia Burris-McGrath, with co-production from Voodoo Terror Tribe and John Brennan.
Guitarist and synth programmer Emir Erkal states, "This new video is a camp-commentary on modern society, showing Voodoo Terror Tribe as something like 'bladerunners'; masquerading as musicians to snuff out a club full of party-goers for being 'just too modern.'" More...
Voodoo Terror Tribe released latest EP "A Walk in Hell" earlier this year, and today a video that the band has been working painstakingly on finally sees its world premiere.
The video for "BloodSoaked" can be seen below, thanks to Revolvermag.com. Voodoo Terror Tribe also comments:
"Our new music video for the song 'BloodSoaked' presents deliberate darkness and intensity. We meant it to be more serious and in-your-face than our previous works, as the song is our heaviest so far. So as for filming, we threw ourselves out of our East-Coast element and out into the dark-recesses of remote Ohio. Working with director Jeffrey Moore and Assistant Director Angel Alfonso of Axtravaganza Films was a welcome breath of professionalism, and the video shows it.
"'BloodSoaked' is our fastest and darkest song yet, and we wanted to present those ideas explicitly, with art and horror-flick-mysticism. We're proud of the amazing cast and the extraordinary work everyone committed in such a short amount of time. There is an interesting storyline to the film, that with multiple viewings one might discern, but even if you don't find the linear plot, the images and the atmosphere speak for themselves. Our dalliance with the horror film vibe and moderately authentic ritualism might have put the taste of blood in our mouths. There's no returning to the light after this, and everything only gets darker from here..."

“Wake of the White Devil” is off of the band's latest full-length album, “Symptoms of Sin,” which was released this summer and produced by Billy Graziadei (Biohazard/Suicide City). The band comments on the song:
“A three-way analogy between western culture as it is viewed in the middle east, the idea of what George Bush might have been thinking in 2003, and the extraordinary enjoyment of addiction to crystal meth. 75% of the world talks shit about the USA, but they do so while wearing American clothes, watching American TV shows (idol), etc. etc.... We're all Evil. We're all fucked up, we're all addicted, everyone fuck off, do a line and get on with your lives...”
