Mancan from Ecnephias has issued the following announcement about working on a new album:
"My friends and supporters, I'm writing new material, an incredible period of continuous inspiration. There are some important changes in our sound, perhaps this time the Ecnephias will start again from where Tiamat art stopped a few years ago: a gothic sound, a melancholic approach and a Mediterranean feeling, in another new direction for the band. Four songs finished and more new chapters soon.
"The intention is to have a great promo album/demo within this summer. It's time to change, at any level. And as always I will go straight to my road, oblivious of all judgment. I occupy all day and all night for my music and that's why I left facebook and many other unnecessary things.

Italian dark metal act Ecnephias released a new lyric video for the track "Nyctophilia." The song appears on the band's self-titled effort, which was issued back in February via My Kingdom Music.

Italy's finest, anthemic dark metal machine Ecenephias just launched a second official video from the band's upcoming self-titled album. Check out "The Firewalker" below.
The "Ecnephias" album will contain 13 songs for more than 67 minutes of run time and will be released on February 16th, 2015.
Ecnephias is thrilled to present the official video clip for "Vipra Negra" taken from the band's self-titled fifth full-length album, ready to be released via My Kingdom Music on February 16th, 2015. Check it out below. Mancan, the voice, guitar player and mastermind of the band, had this to say:
"We shot the video on two different days with the direction of Felice Vino and the support of Giuseppe Pupillo, in various locations around our city, an ancient house called Casa Spera in Tito (PZ) and among wheat fields.
"A lot of friends offered their help, showing up for some of the scenes or bringing animals for the scenes and we had also the pleasure to work with the actress/model Nunzia Palma. The plot is inherent to the lyrics of the song and it deals with the way of the left hand path, the feeling with the dark forces of life depicted by a sensual and symbolic woman. The woman is the snake, poison and antidote”. More...

Italian metal outfit Ecnephias has issued the following announcement about releasing a new album:
"Dear friends and fans, our new album (out in 2014) will be titled 'Ecnephias' as our name and will also feature the homonymous title track, the definitive seal of our new style: projected into the future but with some references to our past.
"The music will surprise you, there will be a heavy dose of dark rock (the Cure, Tiamat), gothic metal (Paradise Lost, Moonspell) and, of course, the usual atmosphere of our 'death doom' style. Damn melancholy and deep, epic.

Code666 has announced the signing of Italian occult metal band Ecnephias. The band just completed the recording of "Necrogod," the follow-up to the “Inferno” album.
Formed in 1996, Ecnephias (Mancan - guitar and vocals; Sicarius - keyboards and piano; Demil - drums; Nikko - guitars; Miguel - bass) has built a reputation for the band's mix of extreme occult metal and Mediterranean influences.
The group commented on the signing: “It’s great to be back with code666, whose roster of incredible talent is one we’ve long followed. We’re so excited to announce that our new album titled 'Necrogod' is ready and will be released worldwide in June 2013!”
Ecnephias will hit the road for a string of shows starting September, and is now working on a video for the track “Kukulkan.” More...

"'Necrogod' is the title of the next fourth album, to be released in May/June 2013. The artwork will be published soon on these pages. It's a monumental and epic 'opus.'
"The new album will be sung entirely in English - the most important innovation is a refrain sung entirely in Portuguese. The band states that it is the best music ever composed by Mancan & Co., a real masterpiece.
"If you liked 'Inferno,' you will love even more the new album: the band's sound is more personal, with a marked improvement (technical, compositional and lyrical). Occult metal band Ecnephias has signed a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of the band's third album "Inferno," which contains lyrics in both Italian and English.
Band leader Mancan commented: "Those who follow Ecnephias and have an open mind towards extreme music, will not be disappointed by this new release. And for those of you who like comparisons, I would say that 'Inferno' is the perfect mix of Rotting Christ's more melodic approach, Paradise Lost and Dark Rock, with a very personal 'Mediterranean' and 'theatrical' touch. This record is for those who have always followed us and those who want to experience something new."
The new album "Inferno" will be released in December, 2011. More news on the release will be available through Scarlet Records.
Italian metallers Ecnephias have issued the following comments about the title of their new album "Ways of Descention:"
"About the title 'Ways of Descention'... The word 'Descention' is a 'pun' between 'descension' and 'ascension.' Descension: The act of going downward; descent; falling or sinking; declension; degradation into darkness. Ascension: To ascent to a higher plane of existence. According to theories there are 7 planes on the path of human evolution. Ascention is the process you go through when you die, but only if you are far enough evolved. When you are ascended, you exist as pure energy, that can take several forms."
