Amaranthe has checked in with the following update from the recording studio through CrankItUp.se:
"Hey everyone! After getting spammed by a bunch of you English speaking folks with confusing Google translations etc, we decided to write the next entrance in the studio diary in English instead!
"Life is pretty good here at Jacob Hansen's ranch, and the life we're living is not that far away from being farmers, except we milk clichéd chord progressions instead of cows ;) Or a little bit like serving a prison sentence - but spending all day recording metal (and drinking a few beers to!)
"Last week we finished up all the rhyhtm guitar tracks, and it is sounding pretty massive! I went for a nice 5150/ENGL fireball combo, and I am actually tracking 2 guitars only for every song instead of 4 or even 8. The sound is still HUGE, but much more personal than the average wall of guitars everyone's completely used to today. We're heading in the same direction with the drums, where we're only using triggers for the bass drum - all to get a more natural yet powerful feel to the final result! More...

Amaranthe is set to being recording a new album in October with Jacob Hansen of Hansen Studio in Ribe, Denmark. The as-of-yet untitled album is scheduled for a spring 2011 release. Commented guitarist Olof Mörck:
"Needless to say, we are very much looking forward to getting all the tracks on tape! There has been quite a stir and hype around Amaranthe lately, and it is funny to think that everything that people have heard so far are demos recorded in a bedroom - it is going to be fantastic to able to show people the true potential of our music, with a killer sound! This whole production is going to be HUGE and spending two months with Jacob Hansen recording the album will ensure that we will have a production second to none! Jacob Hansen is definitely one of the top names in today's metal recording scene, and when we found out that he was available on quite short notice we where very enthused! Keep your eyes peeled when this baby is unleashed in early spring 2011!"
Amaranthe has just inked a record deal with Spinefarm/Universal for the release of the band's new album, tentatively due out early next year. Guitarist Olof Mörck commented on the signing:
"After talking to several of the highest profile labels Spinefarm completely outdid them all, most importantly through the understanding they've shown towards what we are trying to acheive as a band, musically and visually. The deal we have struck will enable us to take the band to levels we have yet only dreamed of, and beyond! You can expect a HUGE release that is bound some send tremors throughout the metal world early 2011!"
Commented Hannu Lehtonen of Spinefarm: "We are very happy and proud to have a chance to work with this very talented and fresh sounding Swedish group! Amaranthe has definitely found their own, unique sound and they are ready to start working with their debut album to be released during early 2011 through Spinefarm Records"

Amaranthe has posted another tour blog online through Crank It Up about their tour dates with Kamelot:
"Hey folks! Olof here again with our second and final tour blog, from the Scandinavian leg of the Kamelot tour! Recently got back home, and what can I say, what a tour! To continue where we left off in the first blog; Tampere was great, very receptive audience, and there were also some dedicated Kamelot/Amaranthe fans who attended the Helsinki show who also showed up for this gig - you guys kick ass, you know who you are! To celebrate another great show, we headed downtown, to a cozy bar, where we ended up hanging out with a ladies' floor hockey team who had just won the Finnish championship, so the mood was great!
"After another really weird trip on the finlandsfärja (boat from/to Finland/Sweden), with lots of strange and crazy people, plus a long drive from Stockholm to Oslo, we found ourselves in the norwegian capital! We all had a pretty chill off day, walking around in Oslo and later checking out the Kamelot show, at the magnificent Sentrum Scene - while feeling pretty damn excited about playing there the day after. If you haven't seen a Kamelot show at that venue, then you have no idea. More...
Amaranthe has posted the following new tour blog online through Crank It Up about their current tour dates with Kamelot:
"Hey all, Olof from Amaranthe checking in from Tampere Finland, in the middle of our Scandinavian tour with Kamelot. This is mainly a swedish site, but I will keep it in English for our international readers. This is Amaranthe's first ever tour, and it couldn't really have gone better so far! We started out in our hometown of Gothenburg, playing a packed Trädgårn, not bad for our second gig ever! Our clean singers, Jake and Elize have been out on the road for more than two weeks with Kamelot, and after seeing them perform on big stages together with Kamelot, it was nice to finally to join them on the trek!
"To kick things off properly we ended the first night by bringing the Kamelot dudes to our favourite local bar, Rockbaren. After a late night and an early morning plus some travleing we found ourselves in the very awesome venue Tyrol in Stockholm, constructed to imitate the interior of an alp cabin - but an alp cabin that can fit 1500 people :)
"Stockholm crowd was great as well, and it's quite fun to see the look on people's faces as we take on the stage and more and more singers walks on. At this point we are unknown to most people, and we are all really enjoying convincing people that Amaranthe is the best thing since sliced bread - you don't really get anything for free, but it makes it all the more exciting when you finally get that crowd roaring. Also here we had a pretty awesome after party at the classic rockbar Anchor bar, after being picked up in style with a long white limousine, cheers to the Holmqvist brothers from Djurgården hockey team for that!
