Amaranthe has posted the following recording update through CrankItUp.se:
"Hey people! Olof here once again for crankitup.se! As some of you might've heard, the album is DONE! Which means everyone's back home safe, after two months of isolation in the Danish outback. Last two weeks was major crunch mode, with sleeping in the studio, ordering lots of take out food, and hanging with Ismael the Camel instead of our new Danish friends at various bars.
"After fiddling around and turning every detail upside down and polishing everything perfection, and then throwing dirt at it again just for the hell of it - we actually came to point where we said: 'this is done!' Which was nice, considering that we didn't have to spend Christmas and new year's with a bunch of exotic animals and random Danish farmers.
"We have to wonderful privilege of saying that this is *definitely* our best album so far, considering it is our first with AMARANTHE! So for once the cliché is true! ;) But needless to say, we couldn't really be more excited about how the album sounds song wise and production wise, and we're already feeling the love from a lot different directions! Most of it we cannot unveil right now - but we do have 22 shows in 15 countries booked already, with more coming soon, so check our myspace for all the relevant dates! Currently we are aiming for an April release, and we'll have more info about more exact dates and all that stuff *soon*, so stay tuned!"

"Promoters will offer a special VIP ticket for these show. This will include a pre show meet/greet and an autographed poster commemorating the show. Both shows go onsale today exclusively through here till Jan 22 when they become available everywhere.
"Unfortunately, we have been informed that, due to continuing medical and personal issues, Roy Khan will not be able to finish the remaining touring in support of Kamelot's album, 'Poetry for the Poisoned.' However, we are pleased to announce that metal icon Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire) will be joining the tour and handling the lead vocal duties. There will also be guest vocal appearances throughout the tour by Simone Simons (Epica), Tommy Karevik (Seventh Wonder), and many more surprise guests throughout this very special and rare tour."
