Odyssey Releasing "Voids" Album

Active since 2007, the Spokane, Washington based prog trio Odyssey has built up an impressive resume thus far as an instrumental band worth paying attention to.

To date, the group already has five releases under its belt, and will very shortly drop sixth release, "Voids," on February 5th, 2016. "Voids" stands as the group's 3rd full-length record, and at almost 50 minutes, gives open minded prog music fans a lot of gorgeous music to explore.

Over the course of time, this talented instrumental trio has worked hard to build a multi-faceted sound that appeals to more than just the typical instrumental metal fan base. Oddysey does so by crafting songs with an aggressive and thrashing side that's liberally peppered with massive headbang friendly grooves.

Odyssey Embarking On "The SkeleTour"

The SkeleTour is an all instrumental trek featuring Spokane's prog metal outfit Odyssey as well as Flannel Math Animal and Isthmusia.

The tour is focusing on Western Washington and Oregon from September 25th - October 2nd, with full dates available below. Odyssey is also gearing up to release the impending "Voids" album, with pre-orders available here.

Odyssey Releases New EP Today

The Spokane all-instrumental metal trio Odyssey today sees the release of new EP "The Turning Tide" through Monolithic Records.

In celebration of the release, all four tracks are now available for streaming in the player below. You can also buy a physical or digital edition of the release at this location.

Odyssey is now going into hibernation mode for the Winter, taking a break from live shows and writing new material for a forthcoming release. Stay tuned for more details!

Spokane-based instrumental metal outfit Odyssey has just issued the following update about inking a record deal and releasing a new EP:

"So many of you have been wondering when 'The Turning Tide' EP is coming out... Well, now we can tell you! On Tuesday, November 4th, the new EP will be available everywhere online!

Odyssey Finishing New EP

Spokane instrumental metal act Odyssey has issued the following announcement about beginning work on a new EP and follow-up to the "An Abstract Existence" album (reviewed here):

"We begin work on our new EP today! Drums are up first. Today is all about setting up the mics and getting the best tones we can.

"Then we're spending Saturday and Sunday tracking 4 songs. Pictures will be posted next week!"
