Claim The Throne Announces New Album

Ruthlessly tearing the boundaries of folk metal in the heaviest of ways, Australian warriors Claim The Throne return with their third full-length album, "Forged In Flame," to be released through Prime Cuts Music on September 11th.

The 14-track, 70 minute album sees Claim the Throne take a darker and heavier approach whilst maintaining all the melody and catchiness the band is known for. Check out the first music video and a taste of what's to come from the album below.

Darkest Era To Join "Useless Drunken Bastards"

Scottish pirate metallers Alestorm have announced that Northern Ireland's Darkest Era will provide support along with Australia's Claim The Throne for the "Useless Drunken Bastards" Tour of the U.K. and Ireland in February of 2012.

Alestorm Announces "Useless Drunken Bastards" Tour

Scottish pirate metal act Alestorm has announced the "Useless Drunken Bastards" U.K. and Ireland tour in 2012 with Claim the Throne. The band commented:

"Greetings dudes! In February 2012 we'll be hitting the road for our biggest headlining UK tour EVER, including our first ever shows in Ireland! Along with us will be our Australian buddies Claim The Throne, who are really good at getting drunk. Get your asses down to the show, or we'll kick your ass. I know where you live."

Local supporting bands have been announced for Finntroll's previously announced Australian tour. Perth's Claim the Throne will be part of the entire nationaly tour, with additional support coming from the following bands on these dates:

Claim The Throne Announces New Lineup and CD

Claim The Throne has issued the following update regarding their new CD and lineup:

"After a four month break from the live scene, we are back to pillage your browns and celebrate a wictorious year with the release of our third CD, TRIUMPH AND BEYOND. It has been a massive year for us, having the priveledge of playing tons of great local shows as well as our first national tour, and we are extremely proud of our hard work on the new album and can't wait to share it with you! Furthermore, got some news for ya..."

"It brings us much sadness to announce the departure of founding member, guitarist and author Oliver Soos aka Havanti. Oli?s pleasant nature and hilarious ideas helped to form the personality of Claim The Throne, and this will continue to flow in dedication to him. Perth's very own CLAIM THE THRONE has secured the national support slot for the upcoming tour of "True Scottish Pirate Metal" band Alestorm. In 2009, the mini-CD/DVD “ALETALES” was released showcasing a more folk metal approach with greater production and songwriting to rival the leaders of the genre.

Perth’s battle metallers Claim The Throne recently released their first official music video from the upcoming CD/DVD package titled "Aletales." The video is for the song "Set Sail on Ale."
