We will be having a farewell show here in Victoria combined with our EP release show. Date to be announced. Here's to all the good times with you D Joy, love ya bro.
"On that note I would like to welcome our newest member of the Legion, Ben Arscott will be his replacement and we look forward to having him work with us on a new album."

Archon Legion has checked in with the following message:
"Alright, time for a little update. The search for a drummer has come to a halt thanks to Darius Mackenzie (of Mother Died Today). He has agreed to join the ranks full time and will be working with us on writing a new full length album. I would also like to officially announce the addition of Aaron McDowell (formely of Gremory) on 3rd guitars. We will be focusing the next few months on writing material for a new album.
"I know the EP is taking longer than anticipated but it is on it's way to completion. I have posted a preview of 'Age of Heroes' which will be featured on it. This mix has only a rough mix of drums and guitar on it. Unmixed, very raw, but I hope some of you can still enjoy it as a teaser.
"We should be ready for shows in the new year with the new line up and new music. Keep on rocking the fuck out and keep checking in. Cheers and Beers!"
Each week in "Unearthing the Metal Underground," we'll be putting a few quality underground bands in the spotlight in an attempt to get the word out about them. This week, I am exploring the metal scene in Vancouver, Canada.
First, I give you one of the best live bands in Vancouver: Gross Misconduct. As huge fans of Chuck Shuldiner (R.I.P.), Gross Misconduct picks up where Death left off. The band also draws influences from Iron Maiden, Slayer and good old Metallica. The death/thrash-metal four-piece have opened up for big names such as The Haunted and Amon Amarth. Gross Misconduct maintains the high quality metal that epitomized Death. It is impressive how both Schuldiner and Gross Misconduct vocalist/guitarist David London can pull off singing while playing such technical metal. More...
Andrew Saunders of Victoria, BC's Archon Legion has checked in with the following update:
"So, I think its time for a little update! We have been taking a break from jamming, until Grant [Truesdell, guitar] gets back home from the LFM tour at least. We began writing some new songs for a new album! But that is far from becoming reality at this point.
"We are working on an EP that will contain 3 new recordings as well as a live track from the V-LOUNGE show we played with Hibria in June, as well as possibly 1 or 2 re recordings of old songs from the ist album. The 3 new songs are being mixed by Rob Shallcross in Vancouver and being mastered by one of his colleagues. The new songs are sounding amazing, and feature the slickest production we have had thus far! We are definately happy with how they are sounding and I can promise that they will be the best sounding songs we have ever released!
"Guitars for 2 of the 3 songs are finished as well as Grant's vocals for all 3. I will be heading to the studio throughout the next few weeks to finish up the guitars on the final song as well as vocals for all 3. Once finished, we will be hosting a CD release show to celebrate!
"The rest of 2009 and beginning of 2010 will see us taking a bit of a break from the constant touring of the past. We will be hiding away writing songs for a new album. We will still be playing shows around the Victoria area as well as Vancouver, and possibly the interior of BC. Once the album is finished though, a full tour will be in the works.
"Stay tuned for the next chapter!"
