36 Crazyfists, signed to Roadrunner records in 2002, debuted with their album titled "Bitterness the Star'" and did 2004's critically acclaimed "A Snow Capped Romance". They have their own unique sound, standing out most in vocalist Broc Lindow's voice. They recorded their debut and dedicated one of the songs to their original bass player who lost his life in a car accident.
36 Crazyfists may have suffered a loss, but that hasn't stop them from making music. They combine hard driven gutiars comparable to Killswitch Engage and vocals that are something of their own. 36 Crazyfists are showing the world that Alaska's not only known for eskimos, but also kick ass metal. 36 Crazyfists are definately a band to watch over the years. Who knows where they'll take their unique sound, comparable to Killswitch Engage, next?

Alaskan metal group 36 Crazyfists has announced that they will be releasing a new DVD entitled, "Underneath A Northern Sky" on October 27th.
"Anchorage, Alaska has a small music scene," explains vocalist Brock Lindow. "Pretty much everyone knows each other. Growing up in here, shaped us to be aware of the beauty of isolation and creating your own self. We had MTV just like everyone else, but as people, we adapted to dark winters and summers where the sun never went down. That in itself created so many amazing rituals and memories of the season.”
The DVD will include footage of the very first 36 Crazyfists show as well as countless other rare scenes of globetrotting by a band from Alaska who has defied the odds of coming from a place of obscurity to touring and playing major festivals around the world. Along with the live show, ridiculous backstage antics and band member interviews, all the bands videos are also present on the DVD.
"There are interviews from band members sharing their thoughts on our career and all the wonderful things we have been able to experience because of this band." continues Lindow "Our fans have been waiting for something like this to surface for sometime and for that I'm very grateful to Todd Bell, AKSOUL and Ferret for giving us the opportunity to finally put out our very first DVD. This is for the ears and eyes of the interested, for the fans who have been there through thick and thin!"

Massachusetts based metallers All That Remains has announced that they will not be joining In Flames on their tour of the United States which also includes 36 Crazyfists and Gojira due to throat problems with lead singer, Phil Labonte.
A message from the band reads as follows: "Sorry, but we aren't gonna be at any more of the shows on the In Flames tour. We'll have a press release probably [later today, Monday, December 1]. The holiday weekend has prevented an official release 'cause everyone at the label had gone home when the decision was made to drop. Sorry and we'll figure some way out to make it up to you guys. Thanks and we hope you have a happy holidays and a happy New Year."
The Commodore Ballroom is easily one of the best live venues in Vancouver so I was stoked to see In Flames play there on the evening of November, 17th. A half hour before doors opened, there was already a horde of metal fans stretched down the block eagerly awaiting a packed line-up that included Portland's 36 Crazyfists, France's Gojira, All That Remains and the headliners In Flames. The show did not disappoint. Here's how it went down. More...
Alaskan metal heavyweights 36 CRAZYFISTS have posted an entire show from their current tour online. The set was filmed at The Lost Horizon in Syracuse NY and can be viewed at The UVTV website.
The concert is also available on iTunes.
36 CRAZYFISTS will film its January 9, 2009 concert in Anchorage, Alaska for a forthcoming DVD. According to Lindow, "the show will be monstrous as the ones in the past have proved to be what dreams are made of. But as the years have gone on, you can imagine the amount of ridiculous footage we have from backstage antics to being a 18-year-old skinny, punk-ass kid getting my long hair chopped off by [Steve] Holt [guitar] in a drunken stupor; it's things like this that will be hilarious to sift through and add to our special features section of the DVD."
36 CRAZYFISTS sold 4,150 copies of "The Tide and its Takers" in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 155 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"The Tide and Its Takers" was released on May 27 via Ferret Music. The CD artwork was designed by Sons of Nero, who has previously worked with such bands as IN FLAMES, EVERY TIME I DIE, FULL BLOWN CHAOS and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT.

The promoters of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour have posted the following message:
"Due to Northern California wild-fires, July 11th (Sacramento) Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Performance Rescheduled to Monday July 14th
"Concerned for the health and safety of our patrons, performers and employees, Live Nation announces a date change for Sacramento's scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival at The Sleep Train Amphitheater. The air quality and temperature are expected to improve by end of weekend, allowing for the event to be moved to Monday, July 14th and show time will remain 1:30pm. Tickets purchased for Friday, July 11th will be honored.
"As we enter the second week of wild fires, and the recent 100+ degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities."
"We sincerely regret this unavoidable cancellation and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused," says tour co-founder John Reese. "And while we're thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time. Refunds will be available at original point of purchase." IT DIES TODAY has just announced a new tour and a new music video for their upcoming album. The band will kick off a tour in August with labelmates Walls Of Jericho as well as 36 CrazyFists and more.
Their new album, "Lividity," will be out in early fall and the band is in the studio now recording. They will be filming the first video off the new album for the song "Thank You For Drinking" next week.
Singer Jason Wood checked in with an update on the video and song: "The song's slogan, like a double-entendre, translates into a so-called friend that through drinking on their own accord shows their true personality. For example, a good friend that ends up being an asshole afte getting drunk at a party or bar."
The video will be shot on location at a bar the band fequents in Sanborn, NY called "The Walmore Inn." The video will feature a friend of the band who's had too much to drink before he even gets to the bar and proceeds to start shit with everyone throughout the song, until the band has had enough and starts a bar fight. Keep your eyes peeled for the video in July, and some webisodes of the writing and recording process from It Dies Today.
