The Defiled Announces New Bassist

London's The Defiled has checked in with the following update about recruiting a new bass player:

"Well, the life style that we lead in The Defiled has taken its toll on one of our brothers... It is with great regret that today we finally announce that Drex has decided to leave the band. His decision to leave was made quite a few months ago, hence why we have been so quiet in the first half of 2010. All the members will miss him for different reasons but I think he was the voice of reason and the only member that ever brought any kind of normality to the band.

"It's not all doom and gloom in the camp though! We happened to meet a reprobate called Vincent Hyde that is mentally ill enough to step up and take his rightful place in The Defiled. He’s been rehearsing with us these past few months, and we are going to be showing off our brand new sick little puppy this Sunday at Sonisphere, come get some!"

The Defiled To Tour With (Hed)P.E.

The Defiled has issued the following update about taking the place of Threat Signal on the U.K. stretch of the upcoming (Hed)p.e. European tour:

"In perfect timing for the healing of my broken hand, are debut shows of 2010 have been brought forward due to the last minuet cancellation of a support band. We’ve just been asked to support the very awesome (Hed)p.e. on the home stretch of their upcoming UK tour. I paid an extortionate amount of money to a tout to watch (Hed)p.e. play at the LA2 about 10 years ago so it’s a great privilege to be sharing the stage with them this time around. We’re going to be playing the final 3 shows of their tour in London, Brighton and Southampton so hopefully we’ll see a few familiar faces along the way."

The Defiled's upcoming tour dates are as follows:

3/16 2010 The Underworld - with (Hed)p.e. London
3/17 2010 Talking Heads - with (Hed)p.e. Southampton
3/18 2010 The Engine Rooms - with (Hed)p.e. Brighton
3/21 2010 Relentless Garage - London Supporting Delain
4/9 2010 Gorefest @ The Roadmender Northampton

The Defiled Pushes Back New EP Release Date

The Defiled has issued the following update about pushing back the release date of their upcoming EP "1888:"

"Right ... massive apology to everyone thats been out and tried to find our CD today but theres been a huge fuck-up that was well out of our control which has meant that the release date has now been moved to the 26th! There's so many elements that go into releasing a CD (way more than we'd ever even imagined) and it only takes a minor set-back to fuck everything up as we've found out today.

"This CD has caused a lot of people a lot of stress (and has even cost one person his job so I'm told) so a massive apology goes out to everyone that's been trying to get hold of it today and a massive thank you to all the people that have been working their arses off to resolve this. I promise you that it will be worth it though when it finally comes out on the 26th ..... SORRY and thanks for your patience!"

Ted Maul Announces U.K. Tour Dates

Ted Maul has announced that they will be heading back on tour in the United Kingdom this October. Joining them on the trek will be The Defiled.

"I must admit it’s with slight trepidation that we are announcing Ted Maul and The Defiled on one touring bill together!", states The Defiled bass player Drex. "From both our track records I’m not sure if either band is going to come out the other side without a fair few casualties. So lock up you daughters (and your medicine cabinets)... however the tour finishes it’s gonna be brutal!"

The Defiled Inks Deal With In At The Deep End

London's The Defiled has issued the following announcement about signing a record deal with In At The Deep End Records:

"We’re incredibly pleased to announce that we’ve just signed up with In At The Deep End Records. The label’s track-record says it all really and we couldn’t be happier than to be associated with a label that’s released records by the likes of Gallows, Sylosis, Shaped By Fate, Romeo Must Die, Send More Paramedics, Architects and the list goes on. To release our debut CD through a label that is run off of a passion for good music is a huge privilege and we can’t thank them enough for helping us out with the release.

"Our debut EP 1888 is now officially due for release on October 5th and we can’t wait to get it out into everyone’s grubby little hands!

"The 5 track EP was recorded at Metropolis Studios (in a room sandwiched between Iron Maiden and Alicia Keys) and mixed at the studio where AC/DC recorded Back in Black, on the desk used to mix Radioheads OK Computer and has original artwork by the very awesome D.W. Frydendall. The countdown begins ….."

The Defiled Cancels Sheffield Tour Date

The Defiled has issued the following announcement about canceling an upcoming tour date:

"Hey everyone!

"We're really pissed off to announce that for the first time ever we're having to cancel our last date of the Big Cheese New Noice tour in Sheffield at the corperation.

"I've had problems with my throat for the last few days and woke up this morning un-able to talk. Ive now been told by the doctor that i have tonsillitis again which means the chances of being able to talk by Saturday, let alone scream is highly unlikely. Ive been told that if i don't rest it may not heal in time for Sonisphere.

"Really sorry to everyone that have already brought tickets as Sheffield has been one of our favorite places to play in the past. More...

The Defiled Gets Arrested In Germany

London's The Defiled have issued the following update about their tour alongside Static-X:

"Howdy Ladies and Gents!

"Well we are now finally back home in good ol London. The Static-X dates in the UK, Germany and Holland were a blast, thanks to everyone that came down to see us!

"As a few of you may have heard we had a bit of a tough time in Germany though with myself and Drex getting arrested! Not good! So pretty much all the money we had earnt from shows and merch had to go on paying fines to the German police force! tha Bastards!

"We recieved good news a few days after though that we have been announced to play this years Sonisphere festival! To play on the same bill alongside the likes of Metallica, NIN, Machine Head, Heaven and Hell and Alice in Chains is amazing for us. Theres so many awesome bands on this bill that its hard to list them all but we couldn't be happier to be playing along side them.

"So, we have a few shows coming up in the next few weeks and then we'll be getting everything ready for the release of our EP entitled '1888' and preparing for sonisphere!

"Hope to see you all soon!"
