Aeternam Splits With Bassist And Keyboardist

Drummer Antoine Guertin of Aeternam has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band's bassist and keyboardist:

"It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the departure of Jonathan Lapointe and Samuel Dubois from Aeternam, both due to personal/private reasons. We would like to thank them for their great work with the band, and truly wish them success in their upcoming projects, be it in life or in music. It seemed obvious to us that only one guy could take the bass in replacement of Jonathan, and that's Southern Cross's bassist and long time friend Jean-François Boudreault. He has helped us on some occasions so it was only natural to bring him into the fold. We now officially welcome him in the band.

"We're gonna use backing tracks to replace keyboards, and we feel no need to fill the position with a 5th member : Aeternam is by now a 4 piece band. We know that some people might disagree with our choice, but we think it's just the way it has to be. Expect huge choirs and orchestra samples, you won't be disappointed. More...
