Solstafir Issues Tour Blog
Solstafir has issued the following recap of their recent tour dates:
"Nürnberg – Hirsch – Monday 05. October We arrived in Nürnberg with a massive Pálinka hangover, imported straight from Budapest. I was too wasted to help out with the load in and just tried to sleep the hangover away. The gig was not one of our best, but again the audience seemed to like it.
"Setlist:
Intro (Náttfari)
78 Days in the Desert
Köld
Nature Strutter
Pale Rider
Ritual of Fire
"Pratteln – Z7 – Tuesday 06. October: The Z7 club in Pratteln is without doubt the biggest venue of this tour (except for Turbinehalle in Oberhousen – but that was a festival). With the biggest indoor stage and PA system I had ever seen, I knew we would at least have a good time playing, even if the hall would be empty. Sure thing the hall was not really packed, but ca 200 people paid in, which is good enough considering it was a Tuesday night and Pentagram and Trouble played there the night before, and Cannibal Corpse two night before that. And with a schedule like that almost every night, Z7 is almost over saturated with good concerts. More...
Solstafir Issues Tour Report
Solstafir has issued the following recap of their recent tour dates:
"Day Off: We arrived in a camping site somewhere in Germany at around midday. The sun was shining and the weather was nice. I really wanted to go for a walk and take some photos, but first I had to sort a few things out over the internet for my studies. As I was about to buy some internet access with my other card I noticed it was gone too! Fucking great! I had lost both my cards in Hamburg! I spent the day finding a way to access the internet and then sorting out some of these credit cards problems, like having my cards cancelled, while everyone else was having a good day. When I had finished the sun was already setting, so no nice walk taking photos for me. I went to bed frustrated, not even affording to buy dinner ‘cause I spent my last money on buying the internet access. Not the way I wanted to spend the day. We also got the news that Köld was totally sold out and out of print everywhere. We had already sold our last copies before the Paris gig, so we were hoping to get some more. The only good thing that day was that I found my ipod.
"Stuttgart: Stuttgart was another good gig for us, despite Addi feeling really ill before the show and not being sure if he was up for the job. The place was fairly packed and the reaction of the audience really good. Afterwards we even met a girl with a Sólstafir tattoo on her arm. The first fan tattoo we’ve seen. After the gig we also got the good news that our back drop that we had lost had been found in Oberhausen and will be sent to us later on the tour.

Solstafir Issues Tour Recap
Solstafir has issued the following recap of their recent tour dates:
"Köbenhavn: After taking the boat back from Sweden to Denmark it took us a few hours just to get the bus into the street of the venue. Some part of the street had been closed or what not and Christian our loyal German bus driver was having problems with getting the bus to fit in there. But he made it eventually with German efficiency. There has never been much rock’n’roll in Denmark and I didn’t expect a huge crowd. The venue (The Rock) is big and grand, and my expectations proved right, it was more than half empty. We still had a great time there, meeting up with our friends Thomas and his father and old roadcrew, the entire roadcrew Óli Tröllabarn. A roadie that works like 3 men and drinks like 5! We did our best for the ca 30-40 people that actually did show up and did a pretty good show in an awesome sound. Afterwards we had a few beers with the other bands and our roadcrew in front of 7-11, just like true rockstars!

Solstafir Issues Road Report
Solstafir has issued the following recap of their recent European tour dates:
"So, it’s been a few days already and memories are starting to become vague, some would say because of alcohol abuse in the bus, but I think it’s mostly down to old age.
"We kicked off the tour in Finland with a gig in a small town called Jÿvaskÿla after spending some lost time at our friend’s Sami’s unofficial office, Pub Ikkuna in Helsinki. The Jÿvaskÿla gig went way better than we expected, a good crowd and a great reaction. And the aftershow party was awesome too thanks to the Cavus and Pressure points guys. Big cheers to them! But not everyone survived that night. Late in the night Svavar smashed one of his two basses in a fit of extreme rage because the kebab place decided to close down just as he was about to order his kebab. We’re just thankful that he wasn’t in a pizza place! More...
