Ace Frehley Passes After A Bleed On The Brain
Ace Frehley, also known to fans as "Space Ace," the founding lead guitarist of Kiss, has passed away at the age of seventy four. Frehley suffered a fall in his studio last month which forced him to cancel upcoming shows, and suffered a bleed on the brain as a result. Earlier today, numerous sources claimed he was in intensive care and that family members were weighing up whether to remove his life support. It has now been confirmed that they did so, and the rock star passed away a few hours afterwards. A statement from his family reads as follows:
"We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!"
Frehley was the final founding member to join the band which would soon become Kiss. He would go on to perform on all their albums from their eponymous 1974 debut until 1981's "Music From The Elder," though he was credited on the following release, "Creatures Of The Night." He would later rejoin the band in 1996 and perform on the album, "Psycho Circus," before parting ways with the band once more in 2002, returning to his solo career and releasing his third album, "Anomaly" in 2009.

Guitarist Bob Kulick Passes Away
Bob Kulick, the veteran guitarist who made his name performing with the likes of Kiss, W.A.S.P., Meat Loaf, Doro and others, has sadly passed away at the age of 70. No cause of death has been revealed as of yet. The news was broken by his brother Bruce, who himself performed with Kiss, who took to Twitter with the following message:
"I am heartbroken to have to share the news of the passing of my brother Bob Kulick. His love of music, and his talent as a musician and producer should always be celebrated. Please respect the Kulick Family’s privacy during this sad time."
Bob Kulick auditioned for Kiss when the band was forming, but Ace Frehley was chosen over him. Despite this, he would make uncredited appearances on four albums, including "Alive II," "Unmasked," "Killers" and "Creatures Of The Night," as well as working with frontman Paul Stanley on his debut solo album. Before this, he recorded with rock icon Lou Reed on the classic, "Coney Island Baby" album and would later join W.A.S.P. for two studio albums, "The Crimson Idol" and "Still Not Black Enough," before working with metal queen Doro Pesch on her 2000 release, "Calling The Wild," where he played with the singer and Motorhead frontman Lemmy on the ballad, "Love Me Forever."
His work stretched beyond hard rock and heavy metal, as he would also work with Meat Loaf, Diana Ross and Michael Bolton, as well composing music for beloved cartoon Spongebob Squarepants and the World Wrestling Federation, performing with Motorhead on the theme for wrestler Triple H entitled, "The Game," widely regarded by wrestling fans as one of the best entrance themes ever. He would eventually release a solo album in 2017 entitled, "Skeletons In The Closet." More...

Kiss Announces Last Leg Of Farewell Shows
Hard rock icons Kiss has announced that their upcoming shows in Australia have had to be cancelled due to an illness in the band. A statement on their official website reads as follows:
Promoters One World Entertainment and TEG Live today announced that the KISS Australian tour, due to commence next Tuesday, has been cancelled due to illness. KISS and both promoters are absolutely gutted by the news and sincerely apologize to fans.
Earlier this week it was announced that U.S doctors had advised Paul Stanley to rest due to a bad case of influenza, prompting the rescheduling of the tour’s first show in Perth to the end of the run and the cancellation of New Zealand. It was hoped the extra few days rest would allow Stanley the chance for a complete recovery so the tour could proceed as planned. Unfortunately, this has not occurred. Stanley has an additional infection in his throat requiring complete vocal rest and medication for at least two weeks and possibly longer.
Paul Stanley said: "Words cannot begin to convey our massive disappointment in having to cancel our End Of The Road tour of your incredible country. Our connection to you is unparalleled and decades deep. We waited as long as we could and held out hope to the last minute that my situation would clear up and we would be able to march forward. Doctor’s orders ultimately have taken precedence and finally we now find ourselves with no choice but to surrender. With heavy hearts, KISS."
With all concerts heavily sold and side view tickets released to cater for demand, to say the End Of The Road shows were eagerly-awaited is a massive understatement. KISS was also scheduled to perform at the after-race concert at the Supercars Newcastle event on November 23.
Promoters One World Entertainment and TEG Live said: “We are devastated with the cancellation of the Australian tour. We’ve been in constant contact with the band in the past few days hoping for a positive outcome. We know how much fans were looking forward to the tour. We send our best wishes to Paul for a speedy recovery.”
Tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full (including ticket insurance premium, if relevant) and patrons do not need to take any action. Patrons should allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear in their account.
Patrons who purchased tickets in an Agency using cash or EFTPOS will be contacted via phone in the next 15 days to arrange for a full refund. Alternatively, you can contact Ticketek here.
For Supercars Newcastle 500 tickets the concert portion will be refunded, being $65 for Gold tickets and $115 for One Last KISS tickets. All refunds will go back to the credit card it was purchased on by the 6 December. More...

Kiss' Simmons Denies Sexual Battery Allegations
A nameless woman has filed suit against Kiss' Gene Simmons for his alleged actions during an interview on November 01st, 2017. According to the suit, the woman is a "longtime on-air personality for a local rock station." The alleged incidents are said to have taken place during an on-camera interview with Gene Simmons and his bandmate Paul Stanley.
The suit levels accusations of sexual battery, gender violence, battery, gender discrimination and more against Simmons and was filed December 15th, 2017 in the Superior Court of California.
Among the plaintiff’s claims are Simmons placing her hand on his knee and holding it there, turning various questions into “sexual innuendos” and some unwanted touching. It further alleges that Simmons touched her buttocks while posing for a promotional photograph. It is stated that all of Simmons‘ alleged advances were repeatedly rebuffed throughout the interview.
Notably the interview took place at the Rock & Brews restaurant location in Highland California - a restaurant chain co-founded in part by Simmons and Stanley. The establishment is also named as a defendant in the case. You can read a copy of the entire suit below.
Simmons for his part has denied the allegations, stating via Facebook: More...
