Subsignal To Record New Album

Subsignal has finished song writing and pre-production for a fourth studio album. The output will be titled "The Beacons of Somewhere Sometime" and contain eight new songs with a run time of about 70 minutes.

The title track alone is projected to have a length of over 20 minutes. Other song titles are "And the Rain will wash it all away," "Ashes of Summer," and "Tempest."

Subsignal will hit the studio in February with long-time engineer and co-producer Charly Czajkowski, who has already worked with the band on previous two albums "Paraíso" and "Touchstones," as well as the 2012 DVD "Out There Must Be Something."

The band is shooting for a tentative release in Summer/Fall 2015 via ZYX/Golden Core Records. New live shows are to follow the release of "The Beacons of Somewhere Sometime."

Subsignal Issues Update On New Album

Germany's Subsignal has checked in with the following announcement about working on a new album:

"We are about to finish the pre-production for the new album 'Paraíso.' As mentioned earlier, drum recordings will start mid February.

"And here are some titles for all song title fetishists out there: 'The Stillness Beneath The Snow,' 'A New Reliance,' 'The Colossus That Bestrode The Word,' and 'Swimming Home' to mention but a few.

"As you can imagine we are pretty psyched about the new output. We are shooting for a late September release."

Subsignal Splits With Drummer

Germany's Subsignal has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with drummer Roel van Helden:

"Subsignal and drummer Roel van Helden have parted company on cordial terms. Roel intends to focus on his activities with Powerwolf and cannot pursue his job with Subsignal anymore.

"His replacement is Danilo Batdorf who is known for his work with German prog band Dreamscape. Danilo has already successfully played the last leg of Subsignal’s European tour in April/May.

"At the moment, Subsignal and Danilo are working on the follow up album to the critically acclaimed CD ‘Touchstones which will be due sometime in 2013. Furthermore, Subsignal will play some more live shows in Winter 2012."

Subsignal Posts New Song To Myspce

German progressive metallers Subsignal have posted two new songs from thier 2010 release "Beautiful & Monstrous.". The songs include the title track as well as an album teaser featuring clips from various tracks.

Subsignal Signs with GoldenCore Records/ZYX Music

SUBSIGNAL, the new band of former Sieges Even-members Arno Menses (vocals) and Markus Steffen (guitars), has signed a record deal with GoldenCore Records / ZYX Music The first result of the new collaboration will be SUBSIGNAL’s first album, entitled "Beautiful & Monstrous," which is set for a tentative release in late September 2009.

The CD will be recorded during May under the direction of co-producer Kristian Kohlmannslehner, who is known for his work on Sieges Even’s 2007-release "Paramount." The album will have an approximate playing time of 60 minutes. The first edition comes with a stylish digipack cover and one bonus track.

SUBSIGNAL defines their music as progressive, melancholic, cutting-edge, emotional, blended with a good portion of melodic heaviness. The band will celebrate their live premiere at the famous Night of the Prog-Festival, to be held on July 11 at the Loreley, Germany. A full tour is planned for Autumn/Winter 2009/10.
