Extreme metal bulldozer System Divide (featuring members of Aborted / Ex-Distorted) just entered Sound Division Studios in Hagen (Germany) to start the tracking for 2nd full-length album entitled "The Cult of Indifference."
11 brand new tracks are being recorded during the Spring/Summer of 2013. Due to scheduling conflicts, longtime System Divide drummer Mike Heller (who is now the full time drummer for Fear Factory), is being replaced by Ken Bedene of Aborted, upon which vocalist Sven comments:
"So far things are going great, the album has been in the works for nearly 2 years now, we have all been busy with our other bands and it feels good to finally record this piece of work. Alas Mike (Heller) had too many other commitments when he joined Fear Factory but Ken is laying down killer tracks and the material is lightyears beyond anything the band has done. If you think you know System Divide, think again! The material is far more intricate, extreme and progressive without losing the groove and melodic aspects. I am sure this will turn quite some heads."
Continues Sven: "As mentioned above longtime drummer Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy) was too busy with his commitments with Fear Factory to be able to tour and record with System Divide, he is our brother and as much as this saddens we completely understand and also have to move on from our side. We wish him the best and would like to welcome our brother Ken Bedene (Aborted, EX-Abigail Williams) to the fold, Ken Already replaced Mike on our Japanese tour earlier this year and did a killer job, we are very excited to hear him lay down his killer style on these tracks." System Divide has posted the following announcement online about canceling the band's upcoming tour dates with Epica:
"It is with great regret we have to announce that System Divide has to drop off our north american tour with Epica. Miri already had to leave earlier due to a health emergency within the family and things have complicated further so unfortunately I have to make the decision to go back and support my wife and family in these hard times.
"We have pushed through as far as possible to make this work and appreciate the support of the fans that came to the shows to see System Divide. It has been an utmost privilege and pleasure to tour with Epica, not only are they great at what they do, they have been amazing people to be on the road with and they deserve everyone's support at the shows and respect.
"It is with great sadness in our hearts that we have to say bye to them today but hopefully our paths will cross again in the future. Our touring brothers in Insomnium and Alestorm as well, we will all miss you and see you again soon!
"We apologize to all the fans/promoters who were looking forward to see the band, we will do our utmost best to come back to north america and play our hearts out for you all as soon as possible. We will utilize the time now to write the best album we possibly can and return in 2013 with a vengeance!" More...

Cam Pipes from 3 Inches Of Blood shared his thoughts on the band's upcoming tour with Eluveitie:
"This is gonna be an interesting tour for us. We’re used to being on tours with metalcore/screamo bands and we stick out like a sore thumb. This tour, I think we’ll share more musical similarities with the other bands and therefore will be playing to a more like-minded crowd. At the same time, each band brings something unique to the tour. I’m predicting all the bands will get along famously. This should be a treat for our fans too ‘cause they’ll be seeing us with styles of bands that we aren’t mached up with too often!"
Eluveitie also commented:
"Thank you Cam Pipes, and we agree: This is going to be a blast. We’d like to add for anyone thinking the package is a little weird: If you’ve ever seen any of the bands live imagine that energy times four and you know what to expect on this tour and why it fits just right." More...
