Ohio metalcore act Miss May I posted a new music video for the track "Hey Mister." The song will appear on the band's new album "At Heart," which is scheduled for release on June 19, 2012 through Rise Records. Troy, Ohio melodic metal band Miss May I has just been confirmed for a slot on one of the Kia main stages at this year’s 2012 Vans Warped Tour. View the full announcement at this location and stay tuned for more updates and Miss May I exclusives coming in the next few weeks.
“We are more than excited to play the Vans Warped Tour this year, especially main stage with the bands that got us into music in the first place,” comments frontman Levi Benton. “Summer will be a hell of a ride and all we can say is.... CIRCLE PIT!”
Miss May I recently announced details about the new album entitled "At Heart," now being released with Rise Records on its new release date of June 12th, 2012. "At Heart" was produced by famed record producer Machine (Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, Suicide Silence) this past winter at Machine Shop in Belleville, New Jersey. The newly released album artwork was created by graphic artist Zac Schwiet.
Miss May I is currently on tour with Whitechapel, After The Bruial, The Plot In You, and Structures. The tour will travel through the United States until March 30th, taking a month long break while Miss May I heads to Europe to tour with Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, and Confession, and kicks back up again on May 3rd in Louisville, KY. The tour will travel through the United States until March 30th, taking a month long break while Miss May I heads to Europe to tour with Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, and Confession, and kicks back up again on May 3rd in Louisville, KY. After a solid year of touring, After the Burial picks up in 2012 by joining up with Whitechapel for the "Recorruptour," which kicks off on March 10th. This trek, presented by Alternative Press, MerchNow and Rockstar Energy, also features Miss May I and The Plot In You with Structures and Within The Ruins on certain dates.
Justin Lowe (guitars) states: “We're all super happy to announce that we are going to quit drinking for a couple days and write a new album. There is no telling what it is going to sound like, because it is hasn't been recorded yet. However, one thing we can say, is that it will be an AFTER THE BURIAL album because we will be the ones performing on the record, and that is the name of our band. Ok, now seriously!
"We are really excited to have the opportunity to get back into the studio to complete a new album by early next spring. It will be just in time for us to hit the road with our friends in Whitechapel. Bursting Veins has issued the following announcement about filling in for Miss May I on an upcoming Stockholm show with This Or The Apocalypse:
"Hey guys! As you might know We Came As Romans, This Or The Apocalypse & The Word Alive are on the Scream It Like You Mean It tour.
"What you might do not know is that Miss May I unfortunately had to cancel there shows on this tour.. BUT, on Tuesday the tour comes to Stockholm and we have the honor to play instead of them!
"So if your in Stockholm on Tuesday, please come to Debaser Slussen to check out the event of the year!"
The "Reckless and Relentless" tour, featuring headliner Asking Alexandria, is rolling forward despite being banned from Nashville venue Rocketown, and rolled right through The Cannery after a quick re-scheduling. The night of April 12th saw a flock of younger audiences out for the 6pm show, with an average age of about 16 years old. Unlike most other Nashville metal shows, they didn’t allow drinking and had thorough pat-downs at the doors. Nevertheless, the crowd sure looked like they had a good time. The bands backing Asking Alexandria were Chiodos, Emmure, Evergreen Terrace, Miss May I, and Lower Than Atlantis.

Normally there would be a bevy of new metal songs to rock out to on the Xbox 360, but unfortunately there were no new additions this week to the Rock Band Network. While the system is upgraded to Rock Band Network 2.0, fans will have to make due with already existing songs. The PS3 edition will be receiving several new tracks on March 1st, however. A weekend metal show is the perfect opportunity for every metalhead in a hundred-mile radius to get their fix of headbanging and ear damage. A weekend metal show with bands that complement each others’ sound and keep up a consistent level of energy through the entire show is a big reason not to miss the opportunity. Five bands specializing in crushing riffs, otherworldly death metal vocals, and syncopated rhythms teamed up for such a show -- Nashville, TN at Rocketown on the night of October 22nd into the morning of the 23rd.
