MISERY INDEX sees an international release of their brand new album "Traitors" today, Monday October 6th. The album can be completely streamed at Fairtilizer.com.

MISERY INDEX is expected to head off on an extensive European tour at the beginning of 2009 together with HATE ETERNAL. A complete listing of confirmed MISERY INDEX tour dates and info on this tour will be made available shortly via Relapse Records.

Criminal Element Signs To Lacerated Enemy Records

Lacerated Enemy Records has announced signing of CRIMINAL ELEMENT for European territories. The band features current and ex-members of DYING FETUS, MISERY INDEX and SUFFOCATION. Criminal Element's new album, "Guilty As Charged," is being distributed in the US by Sevared Records.

Abysmal Dawn Announces New Guitarist

Abysmal Dawn have issued the following post tour update:

"We're back from an extremely successful Relapse Contamination tour with MISERY INDEX and ORIGIN! After two blown tires, a new alternator, a major tune up, some trailer light rewiring and massive amounts of liquor consumed, we've made it back alive! We'd like to thank all the fans that came out to support us and all the cool people we met along the way. It was great touring with MISERY INDEX, ORIGIN and their crews and we hope our paths cross again in the near future!"

Misery Index Posts New Song Online

Maryland metallers, MISERY INDEX (Jason Netherton – bass, vocals, Sparky Voyles – guitar, Adam Jarvis, drums, Mark Kloeppel – guitar, vocals), have debuted the first new track, "Occupation," from their forthcoming album "Traitors." "Occupation" can be heard via the band’s official MySpace page.

Criminal Element Signs To Sevared Records

Sevared Records has announced the signing of Criminal Element, featuring members and former members of Suffocation, Misery Index and Dying Fetus. The band's new album, "Guilty As Charged," will contain 12 tracks and is due out in August 2008.

More Relapse Records Contamination Tour 2008 Dates

More dates have been announced for the 2008 installment of the Relapse Records Contamination Tour featuring ORIGIN, MISERY INDEX, and ABYSMAL DAWN. The MySpace Metal, Decibel Magazine, Sick Drummer, and XM Radio Liquid Metal sponsored tour kicks off on July 21st in St. Louis, MO.

ORIGIN recently released their new album, "Antithesis," to significant critical acclaim. The band has just returned home from their first-ever European headlining tour and has debuted their first video for Antithesis track "Finite" online via Headbanger's Blog (international / non-US viewers can view the video on YouTube). Tracks taken from Antithesis and a complete listing of ORIGIN tour dates can be found now via the band's MySpace: MySpace.com/Origin666.

Grindcore powerhouse MISERY INDEX recently completed work on their new full-length album, "Traitors." "Traitors" will see a September 30th North American release date (October 6th internationally). MISERY INDEX has also released a digital-only EP, "Dead Sam Walking," that features a recent collection of vinyl-only material and live tracks that can be accessed here. Misery Index Begins Recording New Album

MISERY INDEX entered the studio last week to begin recording the follow-up to their Relapse debut, "Discordia."

This album, tentatively titled "Traitors," is being recorded in Salem, MA with Kurt Ballou (DISFEAR, COLISEUM, GENGHIS TRON) at Ballou's Godcity Studios. Advance song titles include title track "Traitors", along with "Ghosts of Catalonia", "Thrown Into The Sun", and "Occupation." A late Summer/early Fall release is expected.

MISERY INDEX has recently posted a new song, "The Color Of Blood", taken from their recent split with MUMAKIL on the band's official MySpace page.

Misery Index Announces New Album Title

Baltimore's Misery Index will enter the studio on May 6th to record their second album which has been revealed to be named "Traitors." It's expected a September release through Relapse Records.

The band have also posted a song from the new album, called "Ruling Class Cancelled" at their official Myspace.

Pig Destroyer Announce DC and Japan Tour Dates

PIG DESTROYER has announced some upcoming live performances.

The band will first perform a local Washington, DC show on April 11th at the Black Cat along with label-mates MISERY INDEX as well as MAGRUDERGRIND and THE WAYWARD. Tickets are on sale now at this location.

Pig Destroyer will then head to Japan in early May for Extreme The Dojo 20 as headlined by the reunited AT THE GATES. Also on the tour are labelmates THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. A listing of live dates can be found below with more tour plans to be announced shortly.

Eternal Ruin To Release New Material on Mutilated

Eternal Ruin, American brutal death metal band with former Dying Fetus, Misery Index and Divine Empire members, has announced that Czech label Mutilated Records will release an EP of new Eternal ruin material in the coming months. The album will contain six songs with artwork by Jon Zig. You can hear some of Eternal Ruin's material on their MySpace page.

As previously reported, Eternal Ruin parted ways with vocalist Chris Yuastella late last year. There has been no word of a replacement at this time.

Misery Index To Enter The Studio In May

Baltimore, Maryland death metal/grind outfit Misery Index will enter the studio in May to record a new full-length. Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou will engineer and produce the effort at his Godcity studios in Massachusetts and the album will hit stores next fall via Relapse Records.
