Promoters for the third edition of the Black 'n' thrash Inferno Festival was revealed (more information can be found at the event link here).

It's a big week for the Rock Band Network, with loads of new rock and metal songs hitting the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii platforms. The 360 edition recently saw new tracks from Kataklysm, Emmure, Comeback Kid, and Evansecence. The Wii is catching up to the other consoles, seeing songs from Emperor, Warpath, Evergreen Terrace, Graveyard BBQ, Death Angel, In This Moment, and Otep on December 21st. U.K. based metal act Warpath has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a new lead guitar player:
"We’re extremely pleased to announce the new Warpath lead guitarist, Leigh Chambers! Leigh has shown such a high standard of playing and commitment in the last few weeks that we knew within minutes of jamming with him that he was the right guy for the band.
"We’d like to thank everyone else who auditioned and wish you all the best. We’ll now be finishing up the last few bits of writing for the second album, with recording scheduled to begin in a few weeks time. More soon!"
U.K. metallers Warpath have issued the following announcement about parting ways with guitarist Pete Hawthorne:
"Pete has recently decided to leave the band permanently. We are disappointed and sorry with his decision to leave and refusal to play our UK headlining shows. We gave him every opportunity to complete our touring schedule and to play his last shows for the fans but unfortunately he refused. Regardless, the shows went ahead successfully and we would like to thank the promoters Malcolm, Dean and Adam for booking us and to all of the fans there for supporting! Warpath has checked in with the following report of their recent appearance in Osaka, Japan:
"We've been back home a few days now and have been really busy sorting out all of the photos and videos, so be sure to check them out here! Also a huge thanks to Brian, Elvin, our metal brothers from At War (Ace of Spades!), Assassin, Riverge, Clandestined, Metalucifer, Fastkill, Esaka Muse Venue, all of the staff, sound guys and all of the amazing fans who made our first trip to Osaka, Japan such an unforgettable experience!!

U.K. metallers Warpath have shared a video of a 15 year old fan from the U.S. performing the guitar part for their song "Damnation," which can be viewed below. Warpath also commented about the footage: "Fan cover of Damnation on Youtube! Check out this awesome cover of 'Damnation' by 15-year old Javi from the United States! We were so impressed with his talent we just had to share it with everyone!"

Warpath has posted two fan-filmed video clips online from their performance at the U.K. Metal Fest, which can be viewed below. Warpath also issued the following statement about the videos:
"A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported us at Metal Fest - JB's Dudley. We had a great time playing and would've loved to have played for longer! It was ace chatting to the other bands involved afterwards too. As some of you may have noticed at the show Joel has left the band, and it's awesome to play onstage with Gareth (Rag) again! We now have videos from the shows below which were posted to us by fans.
"There are fantastic live shots, sent in to us by extremely talented photographers, which can be viewed on our Myspace and Facebook pages. Guitarist, Ol Drake, of UK thrash metal band, Evile, has issued the following update regarding the replacement for Warpath on their upcoming tour with Mutant:
"On Sun 12th Apr Warpath let us know they have to pull out of our tour (which starts Wed 15th Apr) due to their lead guitarist being 'indirectly involved in a motorcycle accident' on the 8th. We wish them all the best and hope he has a speedy recovery."

UK thrash metal band, Warpath, has issued the following update regarding their decision to pull out of their UK tour with Evile
"We have terrible news, Pete (our lead guitarist) has been indirectly involved with a motorbike accident, burning his left hand, which has forced us to pull out of the up-coming Evile/Mutant tour."
"To all our fans who were coming to watch us, we're extremely sorry that we won't be playing and will make up for it when Pete's hand has healed. We hope Evile and Mutant have a great tour, go support them!"

UK thrashers, EVILE, are preparing themselves for a full-scale headlining UK tour.
Following lead guitarist OL DRAKE's recent jaw injury which caused the band to drop off their European tour with SATYRICON, EVILE are now more ready than ever to get back out there and play some shows.
OL DRAKE comments on the tour, "Really looking forward to our first full-on headliner tour in the UK. We chose Warpath and Mutant as supports for the tour. Both are friends of the band but are also excellent bands. You have to check them out." More...
