"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Before My End

Formed: 2007
From: Selma, AL, United States
Last Known Status: Active

Background

Before My End was formed in 2007 by Jake Day and Clay Smith. They say they're a brotherhood of extreme guitar riffs, relentless vocals, and brutal percussion, creating a sound unlike any other. This is a fair description - their music is uncompromisingly abrasive and full of great break downs. You can feel a passion in their music that is often lacking in many others bands.

Although Before My End is currently unsigned they've been extremely successful to date. They've shared the stage with dozens of major bands, including Rose Funeral, Impeding Doom, Winds of Plague, Shai Hulud, and With Dead Hands Rising.

Before My End Breaks Up

Alabama death metal band Before My End announced they're breaking up.

"The past two years have been really meaningful to all of us. We've put so much heart, sweat, and tears into this band that it's really disappointing that we are having to post this blog, but things happen, people grow up and move on. The experiences and distance this band has made and have had are nothing that any of us ever expected. We've all experienced somewhat of a brotherhood and have made the best of friends with one another that it is sad to know that there will probably never be another Before My End show. The band just ultimately grew apart on terms of dedication and commitment due to some of the members just growing out of the idea of being in a band that would maybe one day pursue touring. There are no hard feelings between any members and we all support and understand each others reasons for wanting to leave. We will continue to log in to this myspace time and time again so if anyone wants to talk to us please feel free to do so.

"All of our members will soon be or one day be seeking new projects to work with. In any event that a former member of this band joins another band we will be sure to post something about it, just a way for you guys to keep in touch with us."
