Demonical Announces Festival Appearance

Swedish act Demonical will be working on a new album at Necromorbus Studios in Stockholm from the end of the month through January of 2013, and the band will be returning to the live scene this spring. The band has now issued the following brief announcement about a festival appearance:

Ensiferum Streaming Entire "Unsung Heroes" Album

"Unsung Heroes," the latest studio offering from Finnish sword-wielding, folk metal merchants Ensiferum, will be streaming in full through the weekend courtesy of Guitar World. The album sees its official North American unveiling on Tuesday, September 18th through Spinefarm Records U.S. Give the full album a listen at this location.

Ensiferum Streaming "Burning Leaves" Single

"Burning Leaves,” the new single from Finland’s favorite folk metal collective Ensiferum, is currently streaming through the SoundCloud player below.

The track comes off the band’s fifth studio offering, "Unsung Heroes." Set for North American release on September 18th, 2012 via Spinefarm Records, "Unsung Heroes" is over an hour long and sees the long-running five-piece pushing its signature sound to bold new heights of drama and excess.

“We’ve tried to push the different aspects of what we do as far as we can,” reflects the band, “the sonic scope is wider than ever. The folk elements go further down that path and the metallic parts will absolutely rip your face off!”

Ensiferum Comments On Upcoming Album

Folk metal warriors Ensiferum will release their brand new opus to North American fans late this Summer through Spinefarm Records. Titled "Unsung Heroes," the band’s fifth studio offering is over an hour long and sees the Finnish five-piece pushing their signature sound to bold new heights of drama and excess.

A cinematic experience from beginning to end, "Unsung Heroes" includes the 16-plus minute track “Passion Proof Power” showing that when it comes to epic statements, Ensiferum is very much at the frontlines, swords in hand. Produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Apocalyptica), the album features artwork by Kristian Wahlin and a medley of special guests including members of Die Apokalyptischen Reiter plus legendary Finnish singer/actor, Vesa-Matti Loiri.

Comments bassist Sammi Hinka of Unsung Heroes: “On this album we pushed the boundaries of the key elements that make Ensiferum's music what it is and really took our music to another level. Crushing metal combined with majestic and beautiful folk and orchestration parts make this album something really unique in the whole genre!”

Ensiferum Details New Album

Finnish blackened folk lords Ensiferum announced that the band's fifth studio album will be entitled "Unsung Heroes." The album is due for release on August 27, 2012 through Spinefarm Records.
The album was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Apocalyptica), and will clock in at an hour plus.

Finland's Ensiferum has announced the dates for the "Bearers of the Sword 2012" tour, which can be found below. The following press release was also issued:
