Steel Panther Posts Australian Tour Teaser
In the parody/tribute band's first ever headline tour of Australia, Steel Panther is primed for an all-out assault on the senses with Michael Starr commenting "I can't wait to get my balls out in some fresh Australian air!" and Stixx adding "I can't wait to come to Australia and rock all the genitals off your women then they'll know what America tastes like!"

Steel Panther Announces U.K. Shows
Steel Panther, which recently posted its own impromptu roast of Zakk Wylde online, has confirmed the band's biggest U.K. headlining tour to date this November 2012. The band is touring in support of the second album "Balls Out" (reviewed here), which was released at the end of last year. Dates are as follows:

Saxon To Play Download Festival 2012
Legendary U.K. metal band Saxon announced that the band will perform at this year's Download Festival in Donnington this year, which runs from June 8-10, 2012. The band will play the main stage on Saturday, June 9, 2012 with Metallica and Tenacious D.
Saxon's announcement reads as follows:
"Back in Donington! We are more than happy to announce that Saxon will perform on the mighty Download festival in UK!
"After the superior performances in 2008 & 2010 and the legendary gig in 1980 (which was recorded and released as a bonus disc on the latest Saxon album 'Call To Arms') and the storming gig in 1982, Saxon will rock the main stage together with bands like Metallica, Tenacious D, Steel Panther and and and...
"This will be the 5th Saxon appearance in Donington! Follow the call to arms and march to the holy grounds of Castle Donington to celebrate another powerful and great Saxon show!"

Steel Panther To Release Single
Steel Panther has confirmed the release of the single “17 Girls In A Row” to coincide with the glam metal parody/tribute band's almost sold out U.K. tour this Spring. The single will be released via Universal Records on April 2nd, 2012. The track is taken from the band's second album "Balls Out" (reviewed here), which was released in October.
Steel Panther will be returning to the U.K. in March 2012 for a headlining tour. The March 2012 dates are as follows:

The organisers of Britain's Download Festival has announced a further five bands for this years edition of the event. Metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage has confirmed, as have NOFX, Nightwish, Shinedown and Black Veil Brides. The festival will take place June 8th - 10th at Donington Park in the United Kingdom.

The Rockstar Ramblings: Steel Panther Poster Ban
Last week the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned a promotional poster used by the band Steel Panther. The poster featured a woman with her eyes closed with one hand on her crotch while two silver balls dangled between her legs. A group shot of the band is on the bottom of the poster. The ASA found this “overtly sexual” and “suggestive of an orgasm.” The band has released a statement explaining the 80s retro look and tongue-in-cheek message; however, the ASA ruling stands and use of the poster in public areas has been banned. Fourteen More Names Confirmed For Download 2012
The organisers of Britain's, Download Festival has confirmed a further twelve acts for this year's edition of the event. Among the new acts are American thrash metal legends Megadeth, former Guns N Roses guitarist, Slash and industrial metal veterans Fear Factory, as well as Steel Panther, Billy Talent, Kyuss Lives!, Rise Against, Black Label Society, As I Lay Dying, Five Finger Death Punch, Terrorvision, Ginger Wildheart, Periphery and Reckless Love. The festival will take place June 8th - 10th at Donington Park in the U.K.

Steel Panther Posts Guitar Instructional Video
Guitar World has posted a video clip of Satchel from Steel Panther showing how to play a guitar segment from the song "17 Girls in a Row," which can be viewed below. The track is taken off the new Steel Panther album "Balls Out" (reviewed here). Guitar World also commented on the clip:
"Today's lick is a ripping glam-metal solo from Satchel of the band Steel Panther. It's a portion of his solo from '17 Girls in a Row,' off the album 'Balls Out,' and features a glitzy raked bend followed by some descending tapped pull-offs and hammer-ons, which cascade down a modified pentatonic scale."
