Face Of Ruin Calling It Quits
Milwaukee's Face of Ruin has issued the following announcement about deciding to call it a day:
"We had hoped to tie up some loose ends before announcing this, but it's gotten to the point that we might as well just get it out there in the open.
"We are no longer an active band. As happens in life, sometimes it has to end for the betterment of everyone involved.
"Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us over the years. The fans we've met, the bands we've jammed with, and the life-long friends we've made along the way. Your support throughout the years has been amazing, and we wouldn't have gotten this far without you.
"Again, thank you everyone."
Face of Ruin's latest release was the "Within the Infinite" EP (reviewed here), and you can still listen to the band's music over at Facebook.
Las Vegas Death Fest IV Line-Up Announced
The Las Vegas Death Fest IV will once again be coming to the Cheyenne Saloon in North Las Vegas, Nevada on June 15th and 16th. Bands keep confirming for the event, and a third day might be added to the festival. Check in for updates and more information on the Las Vegas Death Fest IV event page. Face Of Ruin Posts Live Clip Of New Song
Face of Ruin has posted a video clip online of a new, untitled song, which can be viewed below. The band also commented:
"Face of Ruin is hard at work on new material that will turn into the bands first full length album! Expect technical craziness and mind numbing brutality at its best! More shows be announced soon......here is a raw recording on a new song yet to be titled...enjoy and comment your thoughts....."

Woods of Ypres Drops Off Goregrowler's Ball
Due to contract obligations with their record label, Woods of Ypres is forced to cancel their appearance at this year's Goregrowler's Ball. The band will be writing and recording a new album instead and apologizes to their fans for this cancellation and promised to make it up.
Replacing Woods of Ypres on this Metalunderground.com-sponsored festival will be Dehumanized, who has not played a live show in nearly ten years.
Tickets for the fifth annual Goregrowler's Ball are on sale now. The event is set to take place in San Antonio, Texas on November 18-20, 2011.

Face of Ruin Seeks New Vocalist
Wisconsin progressive death metal band, Face of Ruin, has issued the following update, "[We] will be auditioning for a new vocalist within the coming weeks. Despite the progressive and experimental nature of our music, at the core we are a Death Metal band. We seek such a vocalist that can match the dynamics of our music and contribute their own style to it. We rehearse Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons and will need someone who can make these days consistently. Anyone looking to join must be able and willing to adjust their schedules to commit to gigging and future touring. We are very passionate about the music we create and seek someone with the same level of commitment and intensity."
