Adust Comments On First Show With New Lineup

Adust has issued the following statement about the band's first gig featuring a new lineup:

"Some good news people! The shiny 'new' incarnation of Adust had our first gig together, and despite some pre-show nerves it was a roaring success - as gigs go we couldn't have asked for anything better. The sound was ace, the other band on the bill (The awesome Cypher16 - check those guys out!) were immense, the crowd were rocking and as a band we were tighter, heavier and played with more enthusiasm than ever before.

"We want to say a massive thank-you from the bottom of our collective hearts to everyone who came and everyone who has stuck with us, we really would be nothing without you! Hope to catch up with you guys at a gig in the near future!

"So for anyone who hasn't already guessed, Dave has taken over harsh vocal duties in addition to clean vocals. Matt has gone above and beyond in joining a long and distinguished list of bass playing backing vocalists while Paul has taken over some of the lead guitar riffs. All in all it seems to work pretty well, even if we do say so ourselves! More...

Adust Checks In With Band Update

U.K. metallers Adust has issued the following update about the band's current and future status:

"Hey everyone, at the beginning of 2010 none of us realized what a testing year it would prove to be for Adust - and we're only on June so far. As many of you know the end of 2009/beginning of 2010 saw the departure of Guy Jones. As previously posted this was a sad loss to us all but we're pleased to say that as we write this, Guy is well and enjoying himself with his new pursuits. We still wish him all the best! We love you dude!

"As the saying goes every cloud has a silver lining and ours came in the form of new guitarist Paul Benford. Paul, who has been with us now for just over 4 months now, is a warm hearted, friendly & talented individual who has shown great enthusiasm and has settled into the band very well. We're extremely pleased to have him in the band and excited at what the future with him will bring.

"Unfortunately we were in for more testing times and more recently our frontman & vocalist Rob Pease expressed his wishes to leave - as stated in Rob's previous blog. Rob was there from the very beginning, way before we became Adust and dedicated a lot of time and effort to the band, something we are all incredibly grateful for. More...

Adust Parts With Vocalist

Vocalist Rob Pease of U.K. based act Adust has issued the following announcement about leaving the band:

"I am very sad to announce that as of today I am no longer an Adust member! There are many reasons for my decision to leave, I cannot speak for the other members but I personally feel that the collective drive and ambition to move forward has come to an end, which unfortunately also means that the enjoyment and excitement has also come to an end, which is a real shame.

"I gave Adust four years of my life, many good times and even a few bad times but I can honestly, hand on heart say that I am extremely proud of what Adust and myself managed to achieve within those years, but for me nothing can beat the buzz of sharing the stage with your friends!

"I wish Adust every success for the future and I hope they find a replacement soon, whoever they choose I hope everyone welcomes the new vocalist and that he/she gets given the same amount of love and respect that has been shown towards myself. More...

"Hi All, firstly i want to thank each and every person that applied to be our guitarist, we had to sort through many talented applicants and after our search we finally came to a decision... Ladies and Gentlemen we give you Mr. Paul Benford. We are all pleased to welcome Paul into the Adust family, he is a very talented guy who has the attitude and personality to match, the winning formula in our eyes!' Please all show him some love and support and we will see you in may for our first shows as the new line up."

Adust Parts Ways With Guitarist

U.K. metallers Adust have parted ways with their guitarist Guy Jones. Jones issued the following statement about the parting:

"Often when I find out about band members leaving bands I naively believe there would be animosity between the members. Going through my head the scenarios that might of occurred and the arguments that may have led up to the departure of the member. It would also be naive of me to think that some of you reading this will think the same. Before I continue I cannot stress enough that this wasn't the case in this instance. More than heartbreaking yes, But in no way could anything like this effect the love and extreme friendship I have with Dave, Rob, Dan and Matt. They are sure to have, success and it will be greeted with the biggest smile because deep down inside me it will still feel like my band and my boys that I got up on stage with. I will still share the same butterflies that pass between the band before ground breaking moments.

"I cannot list the amount of achievements that we have all been through as Adust. We've filmed two video's, played some fantastic shows, got to the finals of the bloodstock competition, Recorded two c.d's. One of which being available to buy in HMV stores. I could keep going on. But by far the most significant and important moment that happened when this band came into my life, was that I met 4 of the most caring, kind and loving people I could ever meet. They where there for me from the beginning and the smallest of problems wouldn't go unnoticed. I found a group of the best people I could ever be friends with and I thank them that they took me in the way they did. More...
