Arkaik just issued this announcement online about recruiting new bass player Adam Roethlisberger:
"For the past five years we have had one of the most talented and innovative bass players in the world of technical death metal, previously playing in bands such as Brain Drill, Insanity, Continuum and now carrying the torch in Deeds of Flesh, Ivan Munguia lifted us to new levels in our music and we have had an incredible time sharing the stage and excellent traveling experiences on the many awesome tours we had the privilege of doing in the last five years.
"Its been an unbelievable ride; and so, it is with heavy hearts that we must part with Ivan. We are eternally grateful for all the effort, work, creativity and extraordinary memories. Thank you Ivan 'The Chupacabra' Munguia, you are an authentic bad ass MF and world class musician, thanks for everything, man! As many of you know, life is an ever changing journey and that applies to Arkaik, none the less. Ivan will continue to ravage the death metal world in Deeds of Flesh and Continuum. We are still great friends and we wish him the the best in all his future endeavors!
"With that said, we are extremely proud to announce Adam Roethlisberger as our new permanent bass player! Adam has been touring with us as a fill-in for the past year and has proven to be an absolute powerhouse on stage and within the inner workings of the band. We couldn’t be more excited to bring him on board as a full time member of ARKAIK. Adam will be bringing a whole new force of momentum, skill and power to the band. He will also be writing and recording with us on our upcoming album, so keep your eyes on this guy and enjoy this killer video-play though of 'Metamorphignition!'" More...
Progressive death metal faction Arkaik will embark upon a fifteen-date U.S. headlining tour this coming summer.
The "Make America Shred Again" tour 2016 will run from July 2nd through July 24th. Support will be provided by Vale Of Pnath and Singularity, with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
"We are beyond stoked to be hitting this road this July with the incredibly talented Vale Of Pnath and Singularity," issues Arkaik guitarist Greg Paulson. "This is a really special package given the technical and progressive nature of the music. All bands are releasing new music and have new albums to promote. We also have our most ambitious set list to date, spanning our previous two records and our newly released album Lucid Dawn." More...
Unique Leader Records band Arkaik just released a new music video for "The Temple Aflame," taken off latest album "Lucid Dawn." Check out the clip below, and you can also stream the entire "Lucid Dawn" album at this location.
"Lucid Dawn" was engineered, mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Fallujah, Wrvth, All Shall Perish et al.) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California and is out now worldwide via Unique Leader Records.
Elaborated the band of the new video: "This track is all about the groove and raw heaviness. It's straight forward and to-the-point, which is pretty different from previous stuff we've written but it serves its place within the album and adds variety between songs on Lucid Dawn. The song is basically about overcoming fear and the video kind of alludes to the concept of the album but from an alternative perspective. It was produced and directed by Nikko Deluna. We had a great time making it. We actually ended up filming on the same day/night as the fourth and final 'blood moon' total lunar eclipse of 2015, an obviously metal coincidence. Nikko was really professional and a blast to work with!"
Arkaik returns to the West Coast again fresh off the release of new album "Lucid Dawn" (available for full streaming here) as headliners of the Unique Leader Winter Showcase.
This stacked bill highlights some of the label's best and most brutal featuring Arkaik alongside Wrvth, Inanimate Existence, and Lord Of War on select dates. The short but wildly hyper-technical frenzy begins December 9th in Sailnas, California for five straight days sweeping through the Southwest and wrapping up in Anaheim, California.

Matt Brown from Enfold Darkness has issued the following announcement about canceling the band's upcoming shows with Arkaik:
"We have some bad news. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you all that we won't be able to do the Lucid Revolution Tour with Arkaik and Bermuda.
"A few days ago, our drummer, Greg Vance's, girlfriend got in a car accident in which she suffered some very serious injuries. I won't go into too much detail about it here so that we might respect Greg and his family's privacy, but two and a half years ago, Greg and his girlfriend moved to Nashville so that Greg might join the band. Greg and his girlfriend have no one here besides themselves.
"The plan was while we were out on tour, his girlfriend was going to hold down the fort, but as she is now incapacitated for at least the next month, she won't be able to work or even take care of herself. Due to this, Greg decided that he would not be able to do the tour with us.
"Usually, we would get a fill-in drummer when something like this happens (which we have looked into it, naturally), but because this incident has befallen us so close to the beginning of the tour, we really have no way to cover all the expenses that we would accrue from transporting a drummer with his drumkit from the West Coast (it being the only region that we have found drummers whom would be available) to Nashville. Preparing for this tour was very expensive to begin with, and our coffers are dry. More...

Californian progressive death metal outfit Arkaik is set to unleash a third full-length album via Unique Leader Records on October 30, 2015.
Entitled "Lucid Dawn," the ten-track magnum opus was engineered, mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Fallujah, Wrvth, All Shall Perish et al.) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California.
With the addition of guitarists Miguel Esparza (ex-Hatriot) and Greg Paulson as additional composers, "Lucid Dawn" delivers a fresh approach to the band's sound. As an added bonus, the album features guest appearances from death metal heavy weights Trevor Strnad and Ryan Knight of The Black Dahlia Murder, as well as Bay Area live string quartet, Amaranth.
"Lucid Dawn" is the second installment in a series of concept albums revolving around Cyrix, a disillusioned character in a dystopian society. In Cyrix's world, dreaming is systematically controlled by a tyrannical ruler named Khaal-Li-Phar and his army of dark shamans, where people are forced to build monuments to the tyrant to stifle their imaginations and inhibit their ability to achieve a multi-dimensional existence. Arkaik has issued the following announcement about lineup changes within the band:
"Fans and friends,
"A lot has gone on behind the scenes in the last year, we have faced some huge adversity as a band but are very stoked to finally announce the official permanent lineup! To bring things up to speed, within the last year, two of our long time members and guitar players have decided to head in different directions, one of which founded the band with vocalist Jared Christianson in 2006 (Chance Strickland) and another who helped take Arkaik to new heights and abilities in 2009 (Craig Peters) when first signing with Unique Leader Records.
"Craig and Chance are great friends of ours and are respectfully pursuing their own creative and personal interests and there are no hard feelings. Chance will still be working with Arkaik on certain collaborations but has stepped back from the position of rhythm guitar to focus his creative efforts on producing and performing electronic bass music with his now full time project Bastik Legion. Craig Peters will continue to rightfully hold it down on lead guitar for tech-death pioneers Deeds Of Flesh and is also focusing on his own solo music. We wish them all the best and are stoked for what they do with their talents in the future.
"Fortunately, things have come full circle since then and we are proud to announce the official joining of Miguel Esparza and Greg Paulson. Miguel started playing with Arkaik late last year and had previously been in bands with our drummer Alex Bent. He has shown incredible talent and drive since then and has filled the roll of lead guitar exceptionally well, we couldn’t be more stoked to have him on board. The same goes for Greg Paulson who joined the band earlier this year, and has also proved to be a tremendously talented player and performer. We could not be more excited to have the two of them tearing it up with us and what the future has in store for Arkaik’s most solid lineup ever. More...

Riverside California's own Arkaik is set to release sophomore album "Metamorphignition" on October 9th, 2012 via Unique Leader Records. The 10 song, 53 minute album was recorded in Oakland, CA at Castle Ultimate Studios with Zack Ohren (Decrepit Birth, All Shall Perish, Severed Savior). The following press release was also issued:
"'Metamorphignition' represents Arkaik's most inspired and integral compositions to date. The album weaves together ten tracks with an expansive musical journey told from the perspective of the central character 'Cyrix,' who travels beyond the physical realms of his 'normal' consciousness by means of self-immolation. His travels take him through an intense observation of the conditions influencing the human experience, as he once knew it. Moving fluidly through different moods and arrangements, from harmonic to dissonant, brutal to beautiful, blistering to groovy, and from a position that pushes the progressive death metal genre to the edge of its skin, and beyond. A series of elaborate illustrations representing the concept for each song have been created by visionary artist Tony Koehl and fused into an unfolding booklet. Metamorphignition will take you on an atmospheric exploration of life, limitations, illumination and a wide spectrum of musical and visual reflections of a journey into the mind of man."

Cannibal Corpse is like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich if you think about it. I don’t mean literally, of course. The band has been around for 24 years with largely the same consistent sound. Every one of the records has been consistently outselling the one before it without the band ever selling out to be more commercially viable. The tours have been getting consistently longer due to worldwide demand. In all of these things, consistency is the staple. Cannibal Corpse has shown itself to be one of those universal constants like peanut butter & jelly, and both are widely accepted and can be mighty tasty if you’re in the mood for them.
As evidenced by the long line of black shirts seen up and down Elliston Place outside the Exit/In, Nashville, TN was having a Cannibal Corpse craving at the end of April. Fortunately for us, Cannibal Corpse just rolled into town with a few bands in tow: Exhumed, Abysmal Dawn, and Arkaik. More...
