Indie Recordings is very proud to announce the signing of Glittertind and the release of the album "Djevelsvart."
The album is due out on the 22nd of November in Norway & G/A/S and the 25th of November throughout the rest of Europe. Check out a teaser trailer below, and the band comments:
"We are very pleased to be on a Norwegian label for the first time and especially on Indie Recordings! There is no place like home! We think the unique position they have in both Norway and internationally will take us a step further being a Norwegian band singing in Norwegian while having both a Norwegian and an international fan-base."

Norway's Glittertind has posted two new songs on their MySpace page. The songs, " Nordafjells (Mountains in the North)" and "Longships and Mead," come off their upcoming album, "Landkjenning," which means "Landsighting." "Landkjenning" will be released on June 2nd in the US and Canada. The band has also posted a description of the songs on their myspace page:
"Nordafjells (Mountains in the North)
While journeying through the mountains in the north, a Norse fortune teller is engulfed by a vicious snowstorm and experiences a vision: A mountain grouse lends the traveler its wings and ears, enabling him to sense the entirety of the land and forthcoming events. He sees the coming of Olav Tryggvason and the end of his time, as foreign religion and culture will encroach upon his land." More...
Norwegian folk metal band Glittertind has announced that their new album will titled "Landkjenning" or "Landsighting" in English. The album will be released on 5/27 in Finland and Spain, 5/29 in Italy and Sweden, 6/1 in the rest of Europe, and 6/2 in North America. The band issued the following statement about the album:
"Landkjenning represents a musically mature expression loaded with blasting folk metal tunes all together presented in an authentic, dynamic production well supported by guest musicians' performance on old, traditional instruments. The thoroughly prepared lyrical concepts dealing with the christianization of Norway, takes the listener thousand years back in time where the choice of accepting the new faith or uncompromisingly fight against it was a reality!"
"Landkjenning" consists of the following ten tracks:
