Dark metal band Walking Corpse Syndrome has been selected as the opening band for the upcoming Godhate tour. Other bands on the tour include Common Grave (Germany) and Natron (Italy). The tour starts at the Michigan Deathfest on August 21st, 2010 and will include stops in Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. German brutal death metal band Common Grave has issued the following update regarding their recent tour cancellation:
"Unfortunately we are forced to cancel our participation in the 'Decoding Existence Tour' through Ireland/Scottland alongside Irelands Existing Threat!"
"As a result of the volcano eruption on Iceland and thus many flight cancellations in Europe in the last days, our flights to Ireland have been canceled too. The last few days, it has been uncertain weather our flight will take place or not. In the meantime we were looking for solutions and alternatives without any chances to book ferrys or by car in time."
"Until the last second we hoped that it somehow would be possible for us to fly to Ireland but now the moment of truth has arrived. While the German airspace reopens today, the airspace in London and the UK is still uncertain and therefore our reservations and flights have been canceled." More...

The 2009 Dong Open Air festival will take place from July 17 - 18 in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany. The official website for the festival has been updated with the following announcement that all tickets have already been sold out:
"Many, many thanks for that great reception of yours! The Dong Open Air 2009 is sold out after exactly 4 hours of pre-sales. We never thought of such a fast thing! We all are happily looking forward to seeing you all in best party-mood in front of our beloved stage on the Dong hill on the 17th and 18th of July!"
