German metal band Emergency Gate has issued the following update regarding the replacement of their drummer:
"After 3 years of great work and a lot of shows, Chris 'The Machine' Widmann left the band.
We wish Chris all the best for his future and thank him very much for everything!"
"NOW it is time to announce our new drummer Dominik 'Capricorn Khaos' Scholz. Dominik has been the session drummer of Lacrimas Profundere and the former drummer of Zoo Army. He already played with us as a session drummer during the 'Chaos Over Europe Tour' with Kreator."
Romania's forthcoming metal festival, Rock City Open Air, appears to have either cancelled or postponed. A message from black metal legends Mayhem reads as follows:
"Unfortunately, Mayhem will not perform in Romania next week as the whole festival has been canceled (or apparently postponed). We are deeply sorry for the fans who wanted to see us performing there. This is of course totally out of our control.
"A statement regarding the reason of the cancellation should be posted on the festival's MySpace page soon."
This news come after the recent news that Immortal, Blood Red Throne, Macbeth and Trail Of Tears have all pulled out of the event. The festival was scheduled to be held from August 20-23rd in Fetesti, Romania.

Lacrimas Profundere has issued the following announcement about premiering a new music video on MySpace on July 16th:
"The new video to the song ‘And God’s Ocean’ will premiere exclusively on MySpace on Thursday, July 16th. The latest clip presents the viewer with the band’s hard work from last three months. With this clip, the band supports ‘Die Sandmänner’ – an initiative that fights against child poverty in Germany. Having inked a deal with Napalm Records, German gothic rockers LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE return this year to record their follow-up to their Filthy Notes For Frozen Hearts album.
The band will once again work with renowned producer John Fryer (HIM, NIN). The new album is expected out in April or May.
Expect a melancholic masterpiece full of surprises. More details to follow.
According to Sounds2move.de, German gothic rockers LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE have set "Songs for the Last View" as the title of their new album, due on March 31, 2008 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to "Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts" is once again being produced by John Fryer (HIM, NINE INCH NAILS) and will mark the band's first recording with singer Rob Vitacca who joined the band this past summer. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Shadow I Once Kissed", "A Pearl", "Sacrificial Lamb" and "Oceans" (working title).

Singer Christopher Schmid has left the German gothic rockers LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE due to personal reasons.
"I don't feel that I can combine the permanent stress (brought about by touring, concerts and general uncertainties of the music business) with my 'normal' life and my future," Schmid said in a statement.
Although the rest of the band is sad about Christopher's decision to leave the group, they are happy about the fact that Christopher has offered to carry on with LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE as a lyricist and songwriter. The "LACRIMAS sound" will not change, because the brothers Oliver and Christopher will continue to collaborate as before, and Christopher will even add some of his vocal lines to the next album.

Swedish Gothic metallers Lacrimas Profundere have been forced to cancel their appearance at the all-free gig at the Winternoise festival / Osnabrück. The cancellation is due to a serious illness of bassist Daniel.
German doom/gothic metallers LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE parted ways with rhythm guitarist Christian Freitsmiedl after the completion of their recent German tour with THE 69 EYES. Replacing Christian in the band's lineup is Tony Berger. Tony will make his live debut with the group this week in Austria and will take part in the upcoming summer festivals.
LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE will enter the studio in September to record their seventh album, tentatively due in early 2006 via Napalm Records. The band's most recent CD, "Ave End", was released last June.
