Three years after most recent release "Antiadore," Lacrimas Profundere has gone public with two important pieces of news: the goth rock act just signed with Hanover imprint Oblivion/SPV and isset to present first concept album "Hope Is Here" on August 12th, 2016.
"We've never worked harder and better as a unit. I'm really happy because the album has turned out exactly the way we'd hoped it would; in fact even better," guitarist and founder member Oliver Nikolas Schmid reveals when asked about the three month pre-production phase at the Engine Studios. "Hope Is Here will whisk you away and take you on a journey. A journey deep into a forest, to a boy who lives there, alone, abandoned. Why is he there? What's his name? But that's only the beginning ..."
The new album was produced by Schmid and vocalist Roberto Vitacca and mixed and mastered by Kristian 'Kohle' Kohlmannslehner at the Kohlekeller Studio. The cover artwork was designed by Brazilian artist Elton Fernandes, who also created the "Antiadore" sleeve.
Schmid comments: "Elton has captured the atmosphere of our songs perfectly, almost as if he'd been there when we were writing the material." More...

Napalm Records has checked in with the following announcement about releasing the new album "Antiadore" from Lacrimas Profundere:
"A lot of bands have failed in the tricky undertaking to combine melancholy and heaviness, but not Lacrimas Profundere, who pull it off on 'Antiadore' without breaking a sweat. The band stayed true to their sombre roots on this album, but has elevated the characteristic sound to new heights. Thus, even exceeding their previous masterworks such as 'The Grandiose Nowhere' or 'Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts.'
"'Antiadore' is heavy, melancholic, and touches upon the hidden feelings in the darkest corners of the soul. Ballads like 'Still In Need' or 'Head Held High' meet heavy breakers like 'Abandon' or the pounding 'What I´m Not.' The band revolving around Oliver Schmid presents itself with a newfound energy and offer their most diverse and mature album! Goth Rock enthusiasts will fall in love with 'Antiadore!' Goth N Roll!" Recorded and produced in Munich by Corni Bartels (End of Green), pre-produced in Finland by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Apocalyptica, The 69 Eyes) and mixed/mastered in Denmark by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn, Moonspell) "Antiadore" is "the most heavy, the most melancholy, and probably the darkest album Lacrimas Profundere have produced in the last 20 years," according to a press release.
The album will be released as a limited edition digi-pak featuring two bonus tracks, as a double vinyl, and as a special iTunes version including a brand new video clip. Cover artwork and track listing will be made available shortly.

The band has been working hard on the 10th studio album, which will be released in May 2013, the 20th anniversary of the band. In addition, Napalm and Lacrimas Profundere renewed their co-operation with a new record-deal. Thomas Caser, Napalm's head Of A&R, comments:
"We are very glad to announce the renewal of the contract with Lacrimas Profundere. In these modern and short-lived times, we appreciate this longtime relationship and are very proud, that the band will go their successful path with Napalm Records in the future! A fantastic album is about to be released!"
Oliver from Lacrimas Profundere also added: "We are happy, that with Napalm Records - who are now the home for our idols Moonspell, Tiamat or Monster Magnet and for our most successful albums AVE END and FILTHY NOTES FOR FROZEN HEARTS, we have found a partner and friend for our 10th album. The record will surprise with unusual parts and heavy riffs, but not without the typical LACRIMAS melodies and due to the collaboration with our idol Ricky Warwick and a guest appearance with our ex-singer Christopher, it will be our most varied and hardest album we made since 10 years. The record will be perfect for our anniversary and we cannot wait to share it with you. GOTH`N `ROLL!"
