Razormaze Splits With Guitarist
Boston's Razormaze has issued the following statement about splitting with guitarist Dave Carlino:
"Hey slaves, pretty big announcement here: Dave Carlino and Razormaze have recently decided to part ways. We wish him luck in all his endeavors.
"We have a new awesome guitarist by the name of Joe Gettler who we've been working with for a few months now. He's already an essential part of the band and a true best bud! Here's to a new awesome incarnation of Razormaze that will be sure rip even more faces! Here here!"

Razormaze Announces Winter Tour
This winter, Boston thrashers Razormaze will be embarking on an east coast tour and recording a second full-length album. The album will be recorded by Pete Rutcho (Revocation, Ravage, Frozen) and will feature 8 tracks of all new material.
It has been almost 2 years since the band’s last effort, "Miseries." “We keep trying to one up ourselves with each release. The writing for this album took quite a while and we think it’ll show,” says the band's vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Citrone “we’re very proud of what we’ve got and we can’t wait to get it out there. Overall it’s definitely more aggressive, heavier and more technical. We’ll be playing all of it on the tour.”
Razormaze was recently voted the title of “Best Metal Act” in Boston’s Best Music Poll and is currently nominated for a Boston Music Award in the same category. The band's upcoming tour dates are as follows:

Download Razormaze's New EP For Free
Boston metallers Razormaze have announced that they are self-releasing their new EP "Miseries" for free. The album will be downloadable via their MySpace page. The EP marks a definite change in the bands sound, "We're definitely growing up and perfecting our craft," says singer Alex Citrone "the new songs are much heavier, progressive, full of groove and our subject matter is definitely of a more serious nature." The EP includes three songs which examine such topics as politics and Eastern philosophy. "I think old fans will be ecstatic with the new stuff and new audiences will find it much more digestible than material previous."

Razormaze To Play Live On WMUL's The Stress Factor
Boston's champions of thrash metal, RAZORMAZE, will be gracing the airwaves on January 29th from 6-9pm (Eastern) as they are interviewed and play a live set on the proclaimed "longest running metal show in the North-East," The Stress Factor on 91.5fm WUML (Lowell, MA). During the show RAZORMAZE will be unveiling some of their brand new material which is slated to appear on their upcoming album, "Dawn of the Shred." The upcoming album is expected out in the spring of this year on Hold True Recordings.

Razormaze Signs To Hold True Recordings
Hold True Recordings has announced the addition of Boston thrash-metal warriors RAZORMAZE into its family. Hold True Recordings already has the band on track to release an EP entitled "Dawn of the Shred" in early 2009, featuring artwork by Halseycaust (Toxic Holocaust, War Ripper), and the band will be embarking on a Dawn of the Shred Tour in early 2009 in support of the forthcoming effort (dates are listed below).
For those unfamiliar with RAZORMAZE, the quartet draws from the tried and true influences of the glory days of thrash, bonding together technical, yet melodic riffing and leads, lightning fast drumming, and vocals that sound like a dive-bomber coming in for a kill. According to the label, RAZORMAZE and their brand of unwavering metal will surely appeal to fans of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Razor, Black Flag, Millions of Dead Cops, Nuclear Assault, Testament, and Dew Scented.
With regards to the band being welcomed into the Hold True Recordings family, the band had the following to say: "We believe that our relationship with Hold True will allow us to take our music career to the next level. With their reputation and promotional ability, we will undoubtedly reach a great number of new fans and connect with the ones we've already made in a new and unimpeded way. Needless to say, we are totally stoked to become a part of the Hold True family."
