Former Fozzy guitarist Mike Martin recently spoke to Noisecreep regarding his split with the band and explained why he felt he is no longer a member. Speaking to the site he said:
"I have received many messages concerning my status with Chris Jericho's band Fozzy and my involvement with the new album. I am no longer with the band as a member. I did not quit nor leave on any terms of mutual dissatisfaction based on unrealistic expectations. Fozzy's management informed me in August of 2009 that the band wanted to make a change to the touring line up. This, I believe, is due to a personal falling out between me and one of the band members over business matters. Their decision, I understand and respect, and will leave any personal matters to remain private. I appreciate all the mail I've received from fans wanting to know what happened and wishing me well."

In a recent interview with the Baltimore Sun, Fozzy lead vocalist and World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Chris Jericho gave some insight regarding the new Fozzy album, "Chasing The Grail" and when fans can expect it to hit the shelves. An excerpt reads as follows:
Jericho: "Our new record, Chasing The Grail, will be out in January. We’ve been in discussions with radio programmers to see what the first single will be. There are five or six different songs they want to choose from. This really is a masterpiece for us and I think it will put us in a different category. I think it will change people’s perceptions that this is just Jericho’s wrestling band. I mean, Bruce Dickinson from IRON MAIDEN is a pilot but that doesn’t mean that his band doesn’t kick ass. We’re doing straight-forward, great rock and roll music."

Sean Delson, the bass player of heavy metal group Fozzy, has checked in with a lenghty update regarding the bands forthcoming new studio album, "Chasing The Grail." It reads as follows:
"Hello good people of the world!
""When Richie Rich asked me to write a little blog that would recap these past few days, and recap the events in and around the recording the last of the vocals and bass tracks... I said "How much does it pay?" Just kidding. I said "SURE!"
"It is always a great experience recording with these guys, and this time would be no exception. We did have some unforeseen twists and turns that seem funny now, but weren't so funny whilst living the moment! Like what, you ask??? The story below will share all of the love.
"To start... Rich and I set out from Atlanta around 10:00 am headed for Tampa to record in Ed Aborns badass souped up home studio (nicer than many free standing pro studios!). We were shooting to get there around 6pm, so CJ could start singing around 7. Our trip was pretty uneventful, and laced with the standard multiple stops for really bad food. We did run into a few massive thunderstorms that were so severe, we had to pull over several times because the rain was so heavy. We saw a few complete white outs. Dangerous conditions to be driving in.... but we made it just fine.
"Enter Chris Jericho... on time around 7. Energy is high and we are ready to go. Well..... I notice Rich has this rare, frantic, panic stricken look on his face. I asked what was up. He had left a VERY important cable in Atlanta. Like... the cable that was needed to power the hard drive where ALL of the sessions tracks were! It could have been a bloodbath had he not carried a little, portable back up drive. It was a big deal at the time, but CJ and Rich were able to record on the little back up drive to get us through this session. Ed saved the day, as is standard practice, by locating, and borrowing a replacement cable. Without that cable... we could NOT have finished the bass guitars, or Chris's vocals. BIG shout out and thanks to Ed for always having answers and solutions! More...

"If you're a Fozzy fan I guarantee your going to love it and if you're not a Fozzy fan prepare to become one!
"And to whet your appetites, here is the entire tracklisting for Chasing The Grail: 'Under Blackened Skies', 'Martyr No More', 'Watch Me Shine', 'Broken Soul', 'Let The Madness Begin', 'Paraskavedekatriaphobia (Friday The 13th)', 'God Pounds His Nails', 'Pray For Blood', 'Grail', 'Revival', 'New Day's Dawn', 'Wormwood'.

Rich Ward, the guitarist for rap metal legends Stuck Mojo and heavy metal band Fozzy, was recently interviewed by Australia's PyroMusic.net. When asked about the forthcoming new Fozzy album, "Chasing The Grail" here's what he had to say:
Rich Ward: "The record is really cool man, it's one of the best records I've ever written and I'm really fired up about it. So in any case, I came off tour in late November with Stuck Mojo in Europe and ever since then I've been working on this record and just finally finished, putting the final touches on it. (Chris) Jericho wrote all the lyrics and it was nice because I had the lyric sheets to work off of to start with, because unless I have something really that I want to talk about, something that's either impacting my life or experiences that I've gone through or just topics of interest. Sometimes lyrics are difficult for me, it's like, what do you want to write about? When I'm writing, usually it's about heartache or I hate the president, or something, and it's like, I don't want to write another song about how the president's stupid, just like, good grief. There's so much territory, there's so many paths that are so worn down, you just want to find something fresh to write about. And Jericho's got a really cool mind, and he likes lots of kind of fantasy stuff, he reads a lot of fiction books, so it's really cool to get his lyric sheets. And of course I have to do some arrangement stuff sometimes to make his prose fit into the song structure, but it's been fun. I love writing and recording, it's one of my favourite things to do. And then today I have a keyboard session to work on some big, nasty Hammond B3 Organ stuff on some of the material, some of it has kind of a classic, DEEP PURPLE on steroids kind of feel. There's going to be a couple of songs that are going to have a bit of that. And then I start tracking guitars tomorrow, so fun, fun."
PyroMusic: How is the new Fozzy material shaping up compared to previous releases?
Rich Ward: "It's just as heavy, it's probably... well actually there are moments on the record that are really, really heavy and then there's a couple of moments on the record that are a little more like... did you have the first Fozzy record, the self-titled one that had all the covers on it?" Heavy metal supergroup Fozzy, which features members of Stuck Mojo as well as wrestling superstar Chris Jericho, has signed a new record deal with Riot! Entertainment, through which they will be releasing their new album "Chasing The Grail" which is expected to be released early this summer.
"This is without a doubt one of the highlights of my life and my business career for Fozzy to be Riot's first fully international signing," Riot CEO/owner John Howarth said. "I have no doubt that this album will do well and truly break Fozzy as a major international artist. The early interest has been incredible and we are looking at going with the best partners the world over, be it partnerships with other labels or distributors, we are keen to talk to companies who see the potential. I am really looking forward to this album and for this to be the start of a long working relationship."
"I'm very excited to know that the new Fozzy record is going to be released by John Howarth and Riot," Chris Jericho said. "Riot was by far the biggest supporter of Fozzy's last album All That Remains and did everything they could to spread the Fozzpel not only across Australia , but around the world as well. As a result ATR was by far our most successful album to date. To make this partnership even more exciting is the fact that we have written the absolute best album that we have ever done. This album will see Fozzy reaching new heights and breaking down more barriers to show all fans of heavy rock and heavy metal exactly who we are as a band. 2009 is the year of the Fozz!"
