Rammstein had to cancel the upcoming shows in Korea and Japan today. During the Rammstein concert in Gothenburg, Sweden last Saturday, a minor stage accident on a rain wet stage unfortunately caused injuries on singer Till's knee so that he won´t be able to participate in a dynamic stage show for the next few weeks. "We are confident that Till will recover soon and the cancellation is much to our regret! We were really looking forward to the concerts in Korea and Japan."
German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN are currently working on the follow-up to last year's "Reise Reise", tentatively titled "Reise, Reise (Vol.2)". The band recorded several songs during the sessions for "Reise, Reise" which were omitted from the CD's final track listing. During a recent session at a Berlin studio, RAMMSTEIN recorded several more tracks and are currently mixing the combined collection of new material for a full-length album, to be released in September. A statement from the band's management regarding the upcoming collection reads as follows:
"After the production period of the last album, there were many songs which did not find a place on 'Reise, Reise' due to dramaturgical reason but are now completed. This is not unusual. As 'Ohne Dich' derived from the production of 'Mutter', many songs have been sitting to be completed for a year and shall now come to light. Which songs remains to be seen and is up to the band only."
Added a record company representative: "When we were introduced to the tracks of 'Reise, Reise', many fascinating songs were among them, which were suddenly missing on the album. Among others I remember one song, which we all believed to be the first single of the album. The song was 'Rosenrot', and when we had to realize that the band changed their minds and it did not even make it on to the album, we were speechless. The album was perfect nevertheless, but their enormous self-confidence surprised us. Ever since, we hope to see some of the songs from back then released and I am happy that the band could agree on that."
Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga), "Reise Reise" (translated as "Voyage, Voyage" or "Journey, Journey") is the follow-up to "Mutter", which entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 77 back in April 2001.
"Reise Reise" sold 26,716 copies in the United States in its first week of release in mid-November 2004 to debut at position No. 61 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Good news: Rammstein are currently working on a successor, which will presumably be called "Reise, Reise (Vol.2)" The management's statement was: "After the production period of the last album, there were many songs which did not find a place on "Reise, Reise" due to dramaturgical reason but are now completed. This is not unusual. As "Ohne Dich" derived from the production of "Mutter", many songs have been sitting to be completed for a year and shall now come to light. A co-worker of the record company remembers: "When we were introduced to the tracks of "Reise, Reise", many fascinating songs were among them, which were suddenly missing on the album. The song was "Rosenrot" and when we had to realize that the band changed their minds and it did not even make it on to the album, we were speechless. Ever since, we hope to see some of the songs from back then released and I am happy that the band could agree on that." During Rammstein's short stop at a studio in Berlin, apparently 2 - 3 additional songs were recorded. The mixing session of the album, which is supposed to be released this fall, already began.
To mark the event of the opening concert of four sold-out shows at the berlin Wuhlheide, Rammstein introduced the first song of their new succeeding album "Reise, Riese (Vol.2)", anticipated in October, live on front of a home town audience. The song "Benzin", presented with fire fountains goshing 20 meters into the air, was euphorically met by the fans and visibly delighted the band

Rammstein took home two prizes at the annual Echo awards (German equivalent of the Grammys), which were held Saturday (April 2) at the Estrel Convention Center in Berlin.
Rammstein received an Echo for Artist/Group of the Year in the category New Rock/Metal/Alternative and another in the category Best Live Act. The band performed their latest single, "Keine Lust", during the awards ceremony, entering the stage in a white limousine and performing the track in the "larger-than-life" outfits they wear in the song's video.
Tuska Open Air Metal Festival has added more international and Finnish acts to the 2005 roster. The line-up is almost complete with only 1 more artist to be added for Saturday afternoon as well as the winner from the band contest at Rotonde-Festival, France, which is to be held later this spring. This year's Tuska-Festival is more international than ever, with nearly half of the artists coming from abroad. The evening clubs will most likely see some international action as well.
New additions in Finnish professionalism will be represented by Apocalyptica, whose cello metal is witnessed way too rarely on their native soil. Apocalytica just recently supported Rammstein on their European tour and appeared stateside on a few selected dates.
German precision and universal greatness is brought to you by the mighty Gamma Ray. The band last appeared on the bill at Tuska 2000 and have since built their fanbase by selling out club shows on a regular basis.
Other additions include up-and-coming death metallers Amoral, Finnish-singing Stam1na and Viikate, as well as Callisto who are about to embark on a European tour in a few weeks.
The search continues for one more, either domestic or foreign artist.
Ticket sales for Tuska 2005 start on Friday April 1st. Three-day ticketcosts 67 euro, one-day ticket 32 euro. Go to www.lippupalvelu.fi to purchase tickets.
