Century Media Records has issued the following announcement about Grave starting a North American tour at the end of the month:
"As one of the very first Swedish death metal bands, the now classic Grave has inspired countless metal acts to deliver unrelenting death metal to the masses. While others have fallen victim to the latest music trends, they've persevered the metal ages by remaining true to their roots since their humble beginnings in 1988. They truly are the Motorhead of death metal-GRAVE has never broken-up, reunited, or deviated from their same, classic sound! To celebrate the longevity of their career and the 20th anniversary of their debut album, 'Into The Grave,' Grave will be touring North America this August and September."
In regards to the band's upcoming tour, vocalist/guitarist Ola Lindgren comments:
"We are really psyched to get over to the states and Canada again after 5 years of absence. It's great to be back on the Century Media train again and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Into the Grave' with another visit to North America. During the summer festivals here in Europe, we set out to play the entire first album from start to finish in the order that the songs are on the album. It turned out to be extremely well received from our fans, so we decided to bring the concept on the road for this upcoming tour. Since we are headlining, there will be more material than just the 'Into' album of course. So be there or be square...C y'all!"

Drummer Dave Astor of the California-based thrash metal act Pathology has posted the following update online, detailing the progress of its upcoming full length album.
"I'm very excited to be back in the studio. Producer Daniel Castleman has done some of the best and heavy recordings out there. This will be the tightest and heaviest recording we have ever done. The new material we wrote is more thought out and way more brutal then anything that we have ever written. We're doing the same brutal music as we have always done. We just made the breakdowns heavier, the fast parts faster, and the slow parts slower."

Metalhit.com released a free thrash compilation back in September that is still available for download.
Dave Astor, drummer for the San Diego, California death metal act Pathology has issued the following statement through the band's official Myspace page:
"We regret to say that we are forced to miss the last two weeks of the Immolation/Vader US tour. At the show in Los Angeles our guitarist Tim Tiszczenko decided he no longer wants to be a part of Pathology. Tim has been with me for almost 5 years, so having him quit like this is a big disappointment and shock. He basically cannot handle life on the road so he has to leave the band mid-tour despite us requesting him to complete the dates through year's end.
"In addition, many of you know we have been touring in support of Legacy of the Ancients with different fill-in singers waiting for Matti Way to clear some personal issues and join us on the road but it is becoming more and more evident that he just can't commit to the live activity we have planned.
"So, while we sound down we are definitely not out and plan to be back on the road beginning Oct. 28th in Chicago as part of the last show of the Immolation/Vader tour and then to start our tour with Nile immediately after. We have a new singer willing to do the dates and we currently have several guitarists lined up to audition.
"If you would like to be considered for the open guitarist positions, or even as a new future vocalist, hit up our management at firstname.lastname@example.org. Note, especially for guitarists, there is not a lot of time so it would be ideal if you were already in Southern California or the west coast/southwest part of the US and are familiar with our music. We are looking for someone with band experience and good stage presence who understand the realities of the road and is easy to get along with and understands that at this level there is no money to be made. Ideally we want someone to join the band for the long run but even if you can just help temporarily please get in touch.
"We want to thank and apologize to our booking agent for understanding our disappointing news and giving us another chance. Same goes out to Immolation and all the bands
on that tour - thanks for being so cool. We will be back soon!"
Canadian tech-death metallers NEURAXIS have been tapped to support the legendary DEICIDE on the “God Is Dead- To Hell With God Tour” in February and March of next year. BELPHEGOR, BLACKGUARD and PATHOLOGY will also be on the bill. The run will kick off in Atlanta, GA on February 15th and conclude in Tempe, AZ on March 10th.
Vocalist Alex Leblanc comments, “It is a real honor to tour which such legends. I've been listening to Deicide since I was 15 years old and it influenced me a lot. It's also the perfect tour to promote our new album “Asylon”, which comes out around the same time. We can't wait to hit the states once more and play our new stuff for all the fans out there. February can't come soon enough.”
NEURAXIS’ upcoming album, “Asylon” will be released in North America on February 15th, 2011. “Asylon” was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist.) The band is also playing Metalfest at Batisse Industrielle in Trois-Rivieres Quebec on Saturday, October 16th with Cannibal Corpse. More...
