Ex Deo Issues Album Update

Ancient Rome influenced metal band Exo Deo has completed the writing process for third installment "The Immortal Wars" after months of piecing together the new concept surrounding the historic and famous Punic wars with Hannibal's Carthage.

Ex Deo is set to enter JFD Studios in Texas and Pirate Studio in Montreal, Canada with producer J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm, Malevolent Creation, Misery index, Despised Icon) to record this new opus.

Frontman Maurizio Iacono describes it as "an ultimate historic lesson dipped in violence and blended with and incredibly brutal score that will transport you back in time and get your blood boiling, no details have been spared."

Mixing duties will be handled in Sweden by acclaimed producer Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, Fleshgod Apocalypse) this September. Expect an early February 2017 release via Napalm Records worldwide. More...

Carach Angren Member Working On New Ex Deo Album

Clemens "Ardek" Wijers from Carach Angren will be handling the epic Roman orchestra for Ex Deo's upcoming release. Ex Deo comments:

"Ex Deo enlists symphonic master Clemens 'Ardek' Wijers from horror kings Carach Angren to create the epic Roman orchestral score behind the band's new studio album due out in 2017 via Napalm Records.

"Clemens has worked previously with some movie scores, film studios and of course the maniacs in Carach Angren, all we can say is that the first demos that came out are mind blowing and the fit is perfect. Shivers of an old age are about to be reborn again and the XIII Legion marches forward In full force Spread the news my Legions, you're the only voice that matters."

Wijers comments: "I'm very proud to announce that I will create all the orchestral parts for the upcoming release of Roman oriented death metallers Ex Deo. It's an honor to be working with such a unique powerful act and a personal challenge to craft the darkest, most empirical score possible!"

Ex Deo Going On Indefinite Hiatus

After previously stating there would be a third album, Maurizio Iacono (Kataklysm, Ex Deo) has now issued the following announcement about Ex Deo going on indefinite hiatus:

"Today I decided that Ex Deo and its legions will rest their arms. We will take an indefinite leave of absence, theres a good possibility that Romulus & Caligvla be the only sonic assaults that will ever see the light under the flag of Ancient Rome's lone but real epic voice: EX DEO

"If another album will ever see the light... it will be by the will of the Gods and voice of those who believe in the spirit of the once most powerful Empire... ROME, time will tell... or not.

"I feel we've done two great albums, full of passion and epic passages, no regrets, just proud moments...

"It was an education on where we all come from, Roma touched your blood one way or another, either through your ancestry or through your way of life, not believing it is not believing who you really are, because the entire world took a new spin towards a progressive future under Roman rule, hence the world we have today, still imperfect with many defects but forging ahead through progress... we will still post stuff on Facebook from time to time, hope you enjoyed the ride.

"We thank you for the great comments and thrills you have brought us ROMA CAPUT MUNDI ...Forever

"I leave you with this great passage from my hero 'I love the name of honor, more than I fear death' - Julius Caesar" More...
