Within Temptation Announces New Album "Bleed Out"
Within Temptation, the renowned Dutch symphonic metal band, are set to captivate fans with their eighth studio album "Bleed Out" on October 20, 2023.
"Bleed Out" signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, Within Temptation have created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who aren’t afraid to make a stand on issues they care about.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Within Temptation have shifted their focus from writing about personal emotions and societal subjects to tackling global injustices and reflecting the tumultuous state of the world in a way that other artists seem unable or unwilling to do.

Download Festival Announces First Sixty Bands
The organisers of Britain's Download festival have announced the first sixty bands to play at the event's twentieth anniversary next year. Of note, Metallica will be performing two headlining sets, while the other headliners will be Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon. A statement from Metallica reads as follows:
"Open up the summer calendar as we’re super excited to announce that we’ll be celebrating the Download Festival’s 20th anniversary with not one, but two headline nights on June 8 and 10, 2023! It's been over a decade since we hit the stage in Donington Park, so we’ll be making up for lost time with two unique and completely different setlists with no repeat songs whatsoever that weekend.
"This year’s festival will take place over four days and we’re lucky enough to start the party on night one, June 8th. Hitting the stage as headliners the other two nights are Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon. The long weekend will be jam-packed including Evanescence, Parkway Drive, Disturbed, Pendulum, Architects, Ghost, The Distillers, Placebo, Alexisonfire, Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, I Prevail, The Blackout (reunion), Fever 333, Stray From The Path, Lorna Shore, Nova Twins and Municipal Waste, with many more still to be announced.

Within Temptation Announces Rescheduled Tour Dates
Within Temptation and Evanescence are happy to announce that the anticipated co-headline "Worlds Collide" European tour will still happen this year. The European arena tour that was originally due to kick off in March 2022, will now move to November and December 2022. All existing tickets & VIP packages will remain valid for the rescheduled dates and all venues remain the same.
Both bands stated earlier: "As the world is slowly reopening again, we have been feeling optimistic about the tour actually taking place in March and April. However - a lot of countries still have restrictions in place, and we are forced to make a decision right now for logistical reasons.
"We are aware that many fans are preparing to make their plans to attend the shows, some of which involve travel, and given the uncertainty as to exactly when certain countries will lift their restrictions, we are left with no choice but to reschedule the tour, hopefully for the final time."
All existing tickets & VIP packages will remain valid for the rescheduled dates and all venues remain the same.

Within Temptation Shares New Visualizer
Within Temptation have released the new single "Shed My Skin," which is a heavy and epic anthem about the changes we all face in life and meeting them head on.
"'Shed My Skin’ revolves around dealing with inevitable changes in life. It is about becoming the person we are meant to be, even if that means losing people we love, but have grown apart from. Real growth begins where comfort zones end and that’s exactly what the song is all about: if we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living," reveals frontwoman Sharon Den Adel.
For this song the band has teamed up with German metalcore band Annisokay. "Shed My Skin" thrives upon Sharon’s melodic vocal lines and with Annisokay’s frontmen Rudi Schwarzer and Christoph Wieczorek adding another layer of soaring, heartfelt vocals, the song has grown into an absolute bombastic metal anthem.
Wieczorek comments, "Within Temptation are a band we love and have listened to for many, many years. Within Temptation Reschedules 2021 Tour Dates
Due to the ongoing restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the uncertainty that local authorities will be able to provide a safe environment in which their European fans can thoroughly enjoy shows by September of this year, Within Temptation and Evanescence have unfortunately had to make the decision to push back their highly anticipated co-headline "Worlds Collide" Tour to Spring 2022.
Despite not being able to tour, Within Temptation are still moving full speed ahead, having released two singles during the lockdown. ‘Entertain You’ and 'The Purge’ have exceeded all expectations, both peaking in the Top 20 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart and receiving worldwide airplay. Fans can expect the band to release brand new music soon, and in the meantime can enjoy their vast re-released catalogue on all digital streaming platforms.

Within Temptation’s brand new single "The Purge" is officially out today across all major streaming platforms. It’s a full-throttle rock song, heavy and dramatic with an addictive chorus, and contains elements of the classic Within Temptation sound, whilst pushing forward into new sonic territory. "'The Purge' revolves around self-reflection and a search for redemption," says frontwoman Sharon den Adel. "No one gets through life without scars or without inflicting them on others and there will always be moments in your life you start questioning your choices. You start realising you've made mistakes, causing harm to not only others but also to yourself. Within Temptation Announces Tour With Evanescence
Dutch symphonic metal outfit Within Temptation has announced that they will be joining forces with Evanescence for a co-headlining trek across Europe next April.
Says Within Temptation: "The word is out: we're joining forces with Evanescence for the Worlds Collide Tour - a massive co-headline European tour in April 2020! It was great meeting Amy and the rest of the band at Aarburg in Switzerland. We think we have a lot in common but most of all we share the same passion and fire for what we love doing most. We're really looking forward to touring Europe together and to make it memorable!"
Evanescence states: "We are very excited to join forces with Within Temptation for what I know will be an epic tour in April. Nova Rock: Timetable And Festival App Revealed
Austrias' biggest rock and metal summer festival Nova Rock is about to celebrate its 15th anniversary this year. This year's edition will once again take place in the Pannonia Fields nearby the small village of Nickelsdorf, from June 13th through June 16th 2019.

Within Temptation will release their seventh album, "Resist," on December 14th via Spinefarm Records/Universal Music. You can watch a lyric video for the song "Raise Your Banner", featuring In Flames vocalist Anders Fridén, below.

Eight More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2019
The organisers of Belgium's biggest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has announced a further eight bands for next year's event. Newly announced headliners Kiss will be performing their final show in Belgium at the festival, as will thrash metal icons Slayer, where they will also be joined by Slash & Myles Kennedy, Cradle Of Filth, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Death Angel and Skalmold. The festival will take place in the town of Dessel from June 21 - 23.

Graspop Announces First Batch Of Bands
The organisers of Belgium's premier metal festival Graspop Metal Meeting have announced the first fifty names for next year's edition of the event. Headlining the Friday night will be Dutch symphonic metal outfit Within Temptation, while capping off Saturday will be Iowa nine piece, Slipknot. Also performing at the festival will be Def Leppard, Whitesnake, King Diamond, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Amon Amarth, Carcass, Testament and many more. You can see the initial lineup below.
