In Virtue Shares New Video "Karma Loop"

Rising Los Angeles progressive power metal band In Virtue has unveiled their brand-new music video for "Karma Loop," the latest single from their highly anticipated album "Age of Legends," out now as of November 21st. The video marks a powerful introduction to the record’s sweeping concept and emotional depth, while showcasing the band’s unique sound that blends heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and cinematic textures.

The new single "Karma Loop" was the final track written for the album and quickly became a favorite. Featuring guest vocals from Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), the song is a dialogue between Sisyphus and a guiding figure known as The Catalyst. Together, they explore the idea that punishment is often self-inflicted and that redemption begins with self-worth. Built around a guitar lick Trey originally wrote for a demo years ago, the track evolved through collaboration with former drummer Mazen Ayoub, guitarist Rami Khalaf, and keyboardist Alex Nasla, resulting in one of the album’s most dynamic and emotionally resonant pieces.
?
The lyrics even weave in cultural references from the Kingston Trio’s "M.T.A." to Hunter S. Thompson’s famous line, "Buy the ticket, take the ride," adding layers of meaning to the song’s exploration of cycles, consequences, and liberation. More...

Delain Releases "The Reaping" Video

Delain will finally release their new EP, "Dance With The Devil," this Friday, November 8, 2024 via Napalm Records! Right in time, the melodic synth-metal masters around keyboardist, founder and main songwriter Martijn Westerholt creates a stir with a brand-new song, entitled "The Reaping," cut from the new offering.

The gripping track acts as a whirlwind of emotions articulating feelings of foreboding and sorrow through catchy electronic synth melodies and modern heaviness. It delves into collective themes, expressing disillusionment with the current path of society toward imminent and inescapable consequences. “The Reaping” is now available on all streaming services worldwide and comes along with an electrifying official music video, underlining this exceptional track with stunning high-quality visuals.

"Dance With The Devil" allows Delain's listeners to dive through their highest quality discography while striding ahead into a future that promises to explore new, more synth-driven soundscapes than ever before.

Martijn Westerholt on "The Reaping":
"'The Reaping' is a very expressive song with a serious subject - where the world/society is heading and metaphorical storms on the horizon. Musically the song can be recognized as a typical Delain song filled with heavy guitars, but also with the very recognizable 80's synth elements Delain is known for." More...

Epica Debuts "Sirens - Of Blood And Water" Video

Today, symphonic metal titans Epica finally unleash "The Alchemy Project," a unique collaboration featuring 13 bands and musicians who co-wrote and performed the 7 new tracks with them.
For this special occasion, Epica present another true gem from the release, in form of a music video for a hauntingly dark track with a majestic chorus: "Sirens - Of Blood And Water" was co-written and performed with melodic metal queen Charlotte Wessels and folk/black metal pioneer Myrkur, and together with Simone Simons, these 3 leading ladies of heavy music form the most spectacular trinity of this autumn.

"Charlotte and I go back many years, but we never really worked on music together. Since she started releasing her solo songs, I became an admirer of her work and reached out to her to create a song for 'The Alchemy Project'." Simone Simons remembers. "That collaboration resulted in the beautiful haunting song, 'Sirens - Of Blood And Water'. We both have a fascination for mermaids, the fairytale from H.C. Andersen and wanted to write a song from the perspective of the sisters of the little mermaid. I loved how our creative minds flowed into the song and having Myrkur, who happens to be Danish just like the author of the story, add her unique voice to the song was the perfect match that we needed to complete the story."

If this ain't the best possible way to conclude their 20 Year Anniversary Celebrations, then we don't know what it is. Get lured into the deep waters and watch "Sirens - Of Blood And Water" directed by Patric Ullaeus below. More...

Delain Posts New Live Video Online

The soulful and bombastic ballad "Nothing Left" from Delain’s second album April Rain is one of the multiple classics the band have created in their 17-year career. Performed together with Nightwish’s Marco Hietala, "Nothing Left" marked one of the highlights of the show at the infamous Utrecht Tivoli on the Danse Macabre Tour 2017.

This show was recently released as the live album + BluRay "Hunter’s Moon" on Napalm Records. Now you can watch the stunning live performance of "Nothing Left" and get a taste of what to expect on Hunter’s Moon.

Delain on the new video:

"2019 marks 10 years since we first released “Nothing Left” on April Rain. Nowadays it’s a rare treat to see the track performed at one of our live shows, but it hasn’t lost any of it’s power in the decade that has passed. Performing "Nothing Left" together with Marco Hietala was one of the highlights of the night in Tivoli, and in fact, the entire show felt like a highlight; it was one of my favourite shows of our career so far. You can relive the night through our new Live Album/Blu-Ray Hunter’s Moon. As it was the first time we did an entire tour with Marco as a guest, all songs featuring him, including Queen cover "Scandal" are included, and the video for "Nothing Left" is now available on Youtube. We hope you enjoy it!" More...

The title track 'Hunter’s Moon' has more of a catchy feel and will hopefully appeal to our fans featuring heavy riffs, orchestrations, a large chorus and as a novel feature, Timo’s screams. Our guitarists stepped to the forefront on this release, in writing 'This Silence Is Mine' (Timo Somers) and 'Art Kills' (Merel Bechtold). We wanted to make the video like an extension to the music; to match the orchestral, instrumental and vocal bombast of the song with visuals of nature in all its grandeur, and we found the perfect backdrop for this in beautiful Iceland. We are very proud to present to you the music video for our brand new track Masters of Destiny. We hope you enjoy the journey." More...
