Hate Announces Tour Dates With Kampfar

Polish extreme metal leviathans Hate will be taking part in the Spreading the Plague MMXIV Tour that will hit Europe in March/April 2014.

The band will team up with Norway's pagan black metal horde Kampfar to bring supreme blasphemy to 16 cites. On the tour that will start on the 28th of March in Munich/Germany, you will also see U.S. avant-garde black metallers Velnias and Norwegian melodic black metal act Iskald.

Hate's front man Atf Sinner comments: "We are very much looking forward to touring Europe again and I think the combined line-up for these shows is simply killer! As we are working on new tracks right now, you may expect some brand-nu-blaspehemy played on the upcoming shows for the first time! We've been waiting for a regular tour since the tragedy happened and I believe the time has come to hit the road again at full force. We will come back rejuvenated and hungrier than ever before, so be prepared for truly riotous shows!” More...

Iskald Finishes New Album

Iskald has issued the following announcement about finishing the recording of a new album:

"All work is now done and the forthcoming new Iskald album is complete. Since the recordings in Oslo we returned back to Bodø to record and finish all guitar and bass tracks. Having all drums done beforehand made the recordings a blast and having the opportunity to do them at our own recording studio made it more relaxed and easy. For the last one and a half month the album has been mixed and mastered at 210 Studios in Berlin by our producers Stamos Koliousis and Vangelis Labrakis.

"It has been quite a long process, starting back in August, but in the end it's all worth it. The sound is just what we hoped for and will represent what Iskald really stands for now and in the future. We kind of melted Shades of Misery and Reveletions of Reckoning Day together sound wise to fufill our perfect sound. Music wise we continue down our dark musical path, introducing some new stuff and bringing back some old ideas. As for the song material in general, I would say that we have taken a huge step compared to the last ones, and there should be something in there for everyone.

"During the autumn we plan to reveal details on the album all the way to the final release date, which isn't decided yet. But hopefully in the end of January/start of February... So stay tuned for exclusive info, videos, track-list, photos, new designs and so on in the forthcoming weeks!"

Iskald Issues New Studio Report

Norway's Iskald has posted a studio video clip online, which can be viewed below. The band also issued the following recording update:

"After a tough but really good week with recordings in Oslo, we are now back in Bodø. All drums and vocal tracks where nailed in time and the result turned out nothing but awesome! Experiencing technical issues all week lead to some up and downs, but in the end we're satisfied and all ideas where put into action anyway.

"As all guitars are mostly done already we will now bring the album into the early mixing stage. And as soon as all songs are raw-mixed we will record the bass as well as the rest of the guitars. This process would take some time, but we will be back with another update along the way." More...

Iskald Checks In From The Studio

Drummer Aage André Krekling of Norway's Iskald has issued the following update on the band's recording process:

"Album update #4 - I lys av mørket: A long week with recordings is now closing in. Today we managed to complete three more drum tracks, leaving only one left for tomorrow. Also a couple more vocal tracks were finished. We also managed to look into some guitar sounds and record some really creepy alternative stuff. Be aware!

"As for the overall result and sound so far, I will admit that this album will take us into a whole new level. Everything has been pushed really hard and I believe that all our ideas will shine in the darkness. Back tomorrow with one last update from Oslo."

Iskald Issues Recording Update

Drummer Aage André Krekling of Norwegian act Iskald has issued the following recording update:

"We have just finished the third day in Urban Sound studio, Oslo. On Monday we meet up with our producer and did all the necessary setups and sorted out the sound. After that we managed to do one drum track before we felt the need for beer.

"Our main focus is to get the drums done first, but we've also had time to do some vocals. Even though we have had some technical problems and setbacks, it seems that we will make it according to the schedule. We have to work hard to get there, but with just four drum tracks to go the rest of the week should be a blast. Will be back tomorrow with some updates. Check also out some pictures in the studio album here at MySpace! Now, lets find some alcohol..."

Iskald Gearing Up To Hit The Studio

Norway's Iskald has checked in with the following update about recording new material:

"This is a part of many updates where you will be able to follow us in the process and making of our new album due to be released early next year. After some intense sessions back at Sortland, the pre-production was finished within time. As for the final result sound-wise it didn't turn out quite what we expected, but the most important thing was to complete all song and prepare for upcoming studio sessions. All songs have become nothing but amazing during this whole process, and this album is for sure to bring Iskald to a whole new level. We're exited as hell to get on with the recordings.

"On Sunday we will fly down to Oslo to start record the drums. One week is estimated for these recordings. We're proud to announce that Stamos Koiousis and Vangelis Labrakis once again will produce the album. Hopefully we will be back with pictures/videos from the recording during the week. Last we would like to thank all who showed up at Blablafestivalen and supported us. You made that exclusive gig worth it."

Our MySpace blog will be updated quite frequently with major updates, but you can now also follow us on Twitter or Facebook for possible smaller updates.

"This weekend Simon and I traveled back to where it all began, Sortland, to start the pre-production for the album. Everything will be recorded at my old rehearsal dungeon. Here are some photos showing the setup and some empty bottles of course. Everything should be recorded within next weekend if everything goes as planned. As all songs are pretty much finalized already it's all about preparing for the recordings to come and get those last minute ideas into work. More...

Iskald Working On New Album

Norway's Iskald has issued the following update about starting work on a new album:

"There have been few updates lately, but that's because we have something enormous on the rise. We are far into the writing process of our third album estimated to be released early next year. Right now we are doing some early pre-productions of the new songs to hear out and test different stuff. It sounds extremely promising so far, continuing down our previous musical road, stepping into some new rawer and darker ones. 'Forged by Wolves' and 'Burning Bridges' are two working titles we can reveal at this time!

"The lyric concept has taken a bit of a new twist, but will result in an epic modern war epos. It's all created by Sigbjørn Ellingsen who have written lots of our lyrics before. Be aware! We will probably start the recordings in late summer, but we will be back with more info on the album and probably samples before that. Some concerts later this year are planned, check back for more info later."

Iskald Recruits New Live Guitarist

Norwegian black metallers Iskald have issued the following announcement about replacing their live guitarist:

"After some serious considerations we have decided to remove Espen Solstad from his position as live-guitarist in Iskald. It's nothing personal, just a matter of lacking enthusiasm and motivation. Musically we also expect and demand more! We wish him all of luck in the future and appreciate all good memories.

"Ben Hansen will from now on handle the live guitars. And we would like to welcome Kenneth Henriksen as our new session bass player. He's a very talented 19 years old guy from Røst in Lofoten. Upcoming live shows and tours will be announced soon."
