Atlanta's Halcyon Way will be releasing the new album "IndoctriNation" on October 25th via Nightmare records. "IndoctriNation" is the sequel to 2010's "Building The Towers" and continues the sound and theme of that album. The album features five brand new original tracks, a cover of "Stand Up" by Steel Dragon, a radio edit of "The Age Of Betrayal," and an industrial remix of "The System."

August Burns Red has been named the Rock Band Network artist of the month with the band's track "Mariana's Trench." The act will also be adding the song "Internal Cannon" to the network shortly (the music video for "Internal Cannon" is also available here).

Atlanta based act Halcyon Way has canceled the band's upcoming European tour with Stuck Mojo. The band commented on the cancellation:
"Guitarist Jon Bodan was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma, a form of cancer. After weeks of intense testing, it was the opinion of Jon’s doctors and everyone involved with the tour that the best course of action was for the band to not take part in the tour. This will allow Jon to quickly begin an aggressive treatment program.
"All of the members of Halcyon Way would like to thank the fans and the members of Fozzy, Stuck Mojo and their management team for all of your support and understanding. We hope to make the trip to Europe in the near future! At this time, the band is looking forward to Jon’s speedy recovery and playing Florida Power Fest in December with Blind Guardian!"

"Building The Towers," the new release from Nightmare Records recording artist Halcyon Way has been slated for a U.S. release on October 12th, 2010. The follow up release to 2008’s "A Manifesto For Domination" will be the band’s first release to feature new vocalist Steve Braun, known for his work with Italian act Ashent. Lasse Lammert, who worked on the last several Alestorm releases, produced the album alongside guitarist Jon Bodan.

Atlanta, Georgia's Halcyon Way has issued the following announcement about hosting a release party for the upcoming "Building the Towers" album:
"Mark your calendars for a very special evening with Halcyon Way and three more bands to be announced very shortly! September 25th at The Local in Marietta, GA (just north of Atlanta). More to come soon!"

Atlanta, Georgia based band Halcyon Way has unveiled the cover art for "Building The Towers," which can be viewed at this location. "Building The Towers" is the Nightmare Records artist's sophomore album, and the cover art was designed by Travis Smith. The album is due for worldwide release late Summer 2010, with the exact release date expected to be announced in the coming days. Two advance tracks from the album can be heard on the band’s MySpace page.
The follow up release to 2008’s "A Manifesto For Domination" will be the band’s first release to feature new vocalist Steve Braun, as well as a special guest appearance by Pamela Moore. Lasse Lammert, best known for his work producing the Alestorm releases, will be producing the new album along with guitarist Jon Bodan. The drums were tracked at Open Sky Studios in Atlanta, GA with Mike Froedge at the helm.
"We couldn’t be happier with the way the art for Building The Towers is coming out – Travis has really outdone himself for us, and we can’t wait to get the CD in your hands," said guitarist Zane Matthews. "Not only is the art incredibly impressive, but the songwriting, production, and performances on this album are all a huge step up from Manifesto."

Atlanta progressive metal band Halcyon Way have confirmed that artist Travis Smith will be creating the artwork for the upcoming album.
Travis Smith is a world renowned artist whose artwork has been featured on album covers, t-shirts and movie posters. He has worked with many well known acts such as Amorphis, Devin Townsend, Metallica, Nevermore, Opeth and Slayer.
The new release is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut by the band, "A Manifesto For Domination." It features the debut of new vocalist Steve Braun (Ashent, Siloam) , as well as a guest appearance by Pamela Moore of Queensryche fame.
The album was produced by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Svartsot) and guitarist Jon Bodan. Drums were engineered by Mike Froedge (doubleDrive, Bloodsimple, Speed X) at Open Sky Studios in Atlanta. Lammert is mixing the album at his studio, LSD-Tonstudio in Germany.
Atlanta metal band Halcyon Way have confirmed tour plans with Fozzy in the UK in May 2010.
The tour will have the band performing four shows over three days in Scotland and England. The last day will feature a 2:00pm matinee and a 7:00pm evening show.

The Atlanta, GA based progressive metal band Halcyon Way has parted ways with singer Sean Shields due to creative differences. Taking over on vocals for the Nightmare Records recording artist is Steve Braun, known for his work with Italian progressive-metallers ASHENT, who have released two records via Lion Music.
"I'm really excited and humbled by the opportunity to jam with these guys, and I'm looking forward to help take the band to the next level on the new record," said Steve. More...

Atlanta's progressive power/thrash band HALCYON WAY has inked a deal with U.S. label Nightmare Records. Their debut CD, "A Manifesto For Domination," will be released worldwide on November 11, 2008. The album was produced by guitarist Jon Bodan, mixed by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm), and mastered by James Murphy (Testament, Death).
Sounding like a cross between Megadeth, Dio, and Fates Warning, the band is known and recognized for its energetic and theatrical live performances, blazing guitar, intricate drumming, and three-part vocal harmonies. They have appeared live with acts such as Helloween, Symphony X, Kamelot, Brand New Sin, Cellador, Circle II Circle, To/Die/For, Doro Pesch, Strapping Young Lad, and many others. In addition, they appeared live at the ProgPower USA Showcase in 2004 and 2007, alongside bands such as Primal Fear, Threshold, Freak Kitchen, and Virgin Steele. Halcyon Way also performed twice at Rocklahoma in 2008, alongside bands such as Queensrÿche, Tesla, and many others.
"The band was very persistent. Finally they we're far enough along in the recording process and gave me a few of their songs to check out. I was sold! This band, while being a new force to be recognized, knows how to write solid songs, and how to translate their ideas from gut and head to your ears!," said Lance King (Nightmare Records).
