This year's edition of the Summer Slaughter tour has added some more dates for this year's version of the event. The tour features many top names from extreme metal including Polish death metal outfit Decapitated, as well as All Shall Perish, The Red Chord, The Faceless, Carnifex, Cephalic Carnage, Veil Of Maya, Decrepit Birth, Vital Remains and Animals As Leaders.

PESTILENCE will embark on their first U.S. tour in over 16 years in May/June. The 17-date trek will kick off in Baltimore as part of the Maryland Deathfest on May 30 and will close at the Gramercy Theater in New York City on June 17. Support on the tour will come from WARBRINGER, VITAL REMAINS, ENFOLD DARKNESS and SACRIFICIAL SLAUGHTER.

DYING FETUS has posted additional in-studio footage taped during the "Descend Into Depravity" recording session online now. "Descend Into Depravity," DYING FETUS’ seventh studio recording, was recorded at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore, MD with producer Steve Wright.
DYING FETUS is about to embark on “The Planetary Depravity Tour” next week with THE FACELESS. This co-headlining US tour will kick-off on November 17th in Salt Lake City, UT and also include BENEATH THE MASSACRE, VITAL REMAINS and more on select dates. "Descend Into Depravity" saw its international release in late September and is currently streaming in its entirety at DescendIntoDepravity.info. The album debuted at #166 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and at #4 on the Heatseekers Chart.
DYING FETUS recently premiered the first video from "Descend Into Depravity," for the track “Shepherd’s Commandment”, online here. The “Shepherd’s Commandment” video was lensed in New York with director Kevin Custer (HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, SOULJA BOY, KINGDOM OF SORROW).

Dying Fetus has announced that they will be heading out on the road in November as part of a co-headlining tour with The Faceless. This is in support of the bands latest studio album, "Descend Into Depravity." Also on the bill will be Beneath The Massacre, Vital Remains and Annotations Of An Autopsy with more bands on selected shows.

Revocation are streaming their forthcoming album and Relapse debut "Existence Is Futile" in its entirety online now at this location. "Existence Is Futile" will see its North American release next Tuesday, September 29th (October 5th internationally) and is available for pre-order here.
Revocation has also announced two record release shows in support of "Existence Is Futile" for next weekend. The first will be in Providence, RI on Septmeber 29th alongside Vital Remains and Destroyer 666 followed by a hometown Boston show on September 30th.

Floridian extreme metallers, ORDER OF ENNEAD, are currently on the road as part of the Icons Of Evil European tour with VITAL REMAINS, SLUDGE and TRIBULATION.
ORDER OF ENNEAD frontman KEVIN QUIRION checks in from the road with the first part of his tour diary:
"Day 1 Travel day. Oh the joys of waiting at airports they are endless and not worth mentioning.
"Day 2 Had the day to walk around Amsterdamn before the bus picked us up. Met up with Dave Kinkade (drummer supreme) and checked out some coffee shops and walked around the red light district. Good times. Caught up with the Vital guys roaming around the same section of town, who knew? Took a picture with Darth Vader, the Netherlands version. He's slightly thinner and has an accent, probably blonde hair too. Around 6pm we went back to the airport to meet up with Massive Music and the guys in Tribulation." More...

Swedish death metal band Tribulation has been announced as a new supporting act for the 2009 Icons of Evil tour, which will also feature Vital Remains, Order of Ennead, and Sludge.

Swedish death metal band Souldrainer has issued the following statement about being replaced by Order of Ennead on the 2009 Icons Of Evil Tour:
"We got the worst news that will suck the largest balls ever.. The tour with VITAL REMAINS got canceled for us because VITAL REMAINS wanted to have their friends from ORDER OF ENNEAD instead. We are REALLY TRULY sorry about this and we didn’t have anything to say about it. We thought we had the tour since the booking agency told us to go public with SOULDRAINER joining the tour. We hope to get a new spot really soon. Horns up and see you out there another time! fuck.."
Death metal act Vital Remains will be teaming up with Chicago based deathcore outfit Oceano for a week long tour next month.

New York based death metal legends Suffocation will be headlining the Virginia Deathfest on March 15th at the Norfolk Masonic Temple, in Norfolk, Virginia. Other acts scheduled to appear are Whitechapel, Beneath The Massacre, Vital Remains and Decrepit Birth.
Tour dates have been confirmed for the huge trek headlined by Deicide. Also on the bill will be Vital Remains and Order Of Ennead.

Death metal legends Deicide will be teaming up with Vital Remains for a tour of the United States. The tour will begin in february and features support from Order Of Ennead and Adrift. Deicide recently tapped Kevin Quiron as their new touring guitarist, who made his debut with the band in September.
Malevolent Creation has announced the cancellation of their "Death Before Dishonor" headlining European tour, which was slated to also include Vital Remains and Wykked Wytch.
The band comments: "The situation was beyond the band's control as they never received the contracts or plane tickets they we're promised by Yohan and Jenny of 'X Factor Booking Agency.' Instead, it was brought to the band's attention that the Agency was using the tour to embezzle money from the venue deposits!"

Washington, DC area metal band Fierce Allegiance has been confirmed for the Mayhem in May MetalFest in Kentucky this weekend. FIERCE ALLEGIANCE will be playing on May 18th.
The organizers of the third annual Mayhem in May MetalFest — which is scheduled to take place May 17-18 at Uncle Pleasants (2126 South Preston St) in Louisville, Kentucky — have announced the 36 band festival lineup. Day One of the fest will be headlined by Incantation, Diabolic, Mortal Decay and Waco Jesus.
