Shadows of Dawn Parts Ways With Guitarist

New Jersey thrash metal band, Shadows of Dawn, has parted ways with guitarist Robert "Vick" Vicari.

Lead vocalist/guitarist John "thrash" comments, "I regret to inform everyone that Robert 'Vick' Vicari has mutually parted ways with Shadows of Dawn. Shadows of Dawn is moving in a different direction (will be discussed this in another post) and Rob and the band decided collectively that it would be best if we parted ways. Rob is working on moving up in the world as a professional audio engineer and we wish him the best of luck in his career. In fact, when Shadows of Dawn records our next full-length album, Rob will certainly be involved in the audio production process. We will keep everyone posted regarding Rob's musical projects as well as his professional endeavors. Rob is a true talent on guitar and he was a very inspirational force in the recording and production of 'Of Death and Ruin.' We are all really good friends with Rob and we will continue to mention him and his projects in the future." More...

Shadows of Dawn Posts New Track Online

NJ thrashers, Shadows of Dawn, have posted a new track entitled "Body Count 45" on their myspace page. The band has also issued the following update regarding their album and line up changes:

"A lot has happened since the last post. First off, our lineup is now complete. We would like to welcome back Dan Lassen on bass, and our new drummer Joe Maniscalco. Dan had been in the band for quite a few years and left to pursue other projects, but we welcome him back and his presence has been immediately felt in the writing of new material. Joe brings a technical/prog metal style of drumming to the band, which we feel is perfect for our style and his playing will certainly have an impact on the new songs we've been working on. Our forthcoming album 'Of Death and Ruin' is almost finished, we have a little mixing to do and then mastering, and of course, pressing. For the time being, we have uploaded a new track entitled 'Body Count 45' which we hope you guys will enjoy."
