India's Demonic Resurrection has parted ways with guitarist Daniel Rego, who issued the following statement:
"To everyone who's listened to and supported Demonic Resurrection over all these years, thank you. My decision to part ways with the band is based on a simple fact - I no longer feel the same passion and connection with this style of music, in general.
"Demonic Resurrection is at a stage where it requires a 100% from everyone involved in order to move forward, and speaking as an individual musician, I feel I am no more in the musical and aesthetic space to fully give to the band what it deserves.
"I hope I will continue to receive your support in my endeavours in other musical idioms, a few of which will be formally announced in the near future. Until then, to quote a famous musician, ‘Cheers and stay Demonic!'" More...

Indian metal pioneers Demonic Resurrection have released pro-shot footage of their performance at Bloodstock Festival 2012. Check it out below.
The performance video was funded by the band's fans through a successful campaign run in early 2012. Frontman Demonstealer comments:
"We originally crowd funded for a music video but after a series of events the funds were used to buy our performance footage from Bloodstock Festival. It's taken us a year to release the footage due to some bad luck and bad decisions but none the less we're finally grateful that it's out and extremely grateful to our fans who contributed to making it a reality."
The band's last effort "The Return To Darkness" was released on Candlelight Records in 2010. Demonic Resurrection is currently working on a follow-up album scheduled for a 2014 release followed by some dates in UK and Europe to promote the new album. More...

The Bloodstock 2012 organizers have issued the following announcement about confirming more bands to appear at this year's festival:
"After last week’s headliner announcement - where we revealed the mighty Machine Head will be letting fans pick the songs at their first ever UK festival headline slot - Bloodstock and Machine Head are now ready to take requests.
"If you head to Facebook you can now submit your suggestions via a poll. Each fan can pick five songs from Machine Head’s incredible debut 'Burn My Eyes,' and the five most popular tracks will be performed at Catton Hall this summer.
"Bloodstock can also reveal a further three acts for the Sophie Stage and one for the Ronnie James Dio Stage. Headlining the Sophie Stage on Thursday night, raucous rockers Viking Skull bring their loud and proud metal to Bloodstock, alongside Belfast metalheads Sweet Savage. Hotly tipped newcomers Death Valley Knights show why in just a few short months their powerful metal has earned them a much coverted spot at Britain’s most metal festival, and finally Canada’s Kobra & The Lotus make their Bloodstock debut opening the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Sunday." The Bloodstock 2012 organizers have announced a further three acts for the Sophie stage at this year's festival.
Returning to Catton Hall, Witchsorrow threatens the British summer time with downtuned doom and gloom that echoes metal greats such as St Vitus, Candlemass and Trouble. Says mainman Necro Skull: "We are truly honoured to be returning to cast a shadow over Bloodstock once more. We promise you total doom annihilation, a celebration for the damned as the end of the world looms at the end of this wretched annum. To be in the company of such excellent bands as Watain, Alice Cooper, Orange Goblin, Grand Magus and Winterfylleth is a grand thing indeed. God curse us, every one!"
Returning for the second year in a row, London loud-louts Dripback take a break from the studio to come back to the Sophie stage with their seething mix of hardcore and death metal. The band commented, “For us it’s all about being intense in tents, so this really is the perfect festival slot for Dripback. We’re all so buzzing about playing with Crowbar, Hatebreed, Testament and all the other awesome bands, this really is the best festival."
Finally, Swiss thrashers Battalion make their UK debut at Bloodstock. The Thrash Maniacs check in to say: “It's the first time for us to play in England! What a fucking start! We're looking forward to kick some ass there!!! See ya Bloodstock! Cheers from Zurich, the Battalion-Bastards.”
With a plethora of metal talent already on offer - including Alice Cooper, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Testament, Hatebreed and loads more - Bloodstock Open Air has another addition to it’s main stage, in the form of New Orleans sludge-monsters Crowbar. The organizers of the festival commented:
"The epitome of heavy, Kirk Windstein and co have been showing the world that speed isn’t everything since their debut 'Obedience Thru Suffering' stunned the metal world in 1991 with its downtuned, slow-paced yet punishingly heavy sound. With nine studio albums under their very large belts, Crowbar have mastered the art of the riff, continually delivering irresistible sludgey metal via a sound uniquely their own. With mammoth sludgey slabs such as 'I Despise,' 'All I Had (I Gave),' 'Time He’s Nothing,' 'Like Broken Glass,' 'Nothing' and many more, the Ronnie James Dio Stage will be put to the test at Crowbar’s only UK festival of 2012.
"Over on the Sophie stage, additions come in the form of homegrown extreme symphonic metallers and Metal 2 The Masses winners Saturnian, fellow countrymen and Melo-death thrashers Bloodshot Dawn, as well as Finnish melodic death metallers Re-Armed."

We'll probably never play this again but lots of folks share a special connection to this song so we've put it up on our SoundCloud page where you can listen and download it from. Enjoy!"

Indian act Demonic Resurrection has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band's long time bassist:
"With a heavy heart we would like to inform our fans that after 10 years Husain has decided to step down from his position as the bass player of Demonic Resurrection. We've made a short video blog to put things into perspective for you. Husain will always continue to remain a part of DR."
Headbanger's Kitchen has issued the following announcement about parting ways with Enter Guerilla films:
"It's been almost a year since we launched Headbanger's Kitchen on youtube and the journey has been fantastic and one that would not have been possible without the vision and resources of Srinivas Sunderrajan and Enter Guerilla films. I am indebted to them for not only bringing this idea of mine to life but taking it way beyond my imagination and expectations. Their work has been nothing short of world class but unfortunately episode 8 is going to be the last of our journey together.
"At this point I'm not sure what the future holds for Headbanger's Kitchen, moments like this leave very little room for positivity but I've rarely given up on things I do and I feel that I'm unlikely to stop here as well. I'm obviously going to hope to find the right production house or team to work with because the standard of work is high and I aim to keep it at that, but I'm beyond the point where I can do it myself so if anyone has the skills and the interest, I'm listening. So till I can get this project back on it's feet, keep watching, keep sharing and keep cooking."
Episode 7 of Headbanger's Kitchen, titled "Modern Ma-Quiche," is currently online at this location.
EG Films also issued the following statement: "After an eventful year of producing 'Headbangers Kitchen', which saw 8 episodes featuring various 'demonic dishes' and bands (both national and international), we at Enter Guerrilla Films regret to say that we won't be able to continue the partnership. This decision has been made keeping in mind the ever changing media industry and the workload/pressure that an independent house like ours has to fulfill.
"We have already 'parceled' the good memories of the awesome fun and the crazy tasting sessions and interactions with various guests during the whole process. We are thankful to Sahil Makhija aka The Demonstealer for giving us a chance to 'collaborate' on this unique idea and we wish him all the success and positivity for the years to come! Also to all the fans of HK and EG - keep those taste buds alive! Cheers and stay indie! :)"
