Demonic Resurrection Announce New Album Details
Indian Metal veterans Demonic Resurrection has announced the upcoming new release "Dashavatar," the band's fifth full length album. The album title translates to "the ten avatars of Vishnu," who is the god of preservation in Hindu mythology. The album is scheduled to be releases on March 15th independently by the band.
The band's vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Demonstealer comments: "Our previous album 'The Demon King' was born from the idea of writing about 'Ravan' who is a demon king from Hindu mythology and while we wrote our own story from scratch it did kind of set the tone of where we want to go from there. My fiance was the one who told me the rather gruesome tale of Narasimha the 'man-lion' avatar of Vishnu which really made me look at mythology rather differently and it made for a great idea to write a song about each of the avatars of Vishnu, since they were very interesting stories. It was pretty obvious then that the album had to be called 'Dashavatar.'"
The artwork (shown below) was created by Indian artist Reuben Bhattacharya (Visual Amnesia) who explains it in more detail: "Ten ancient gods in one and the band's most death metal sounding album, it had epic written all over it. So when Sahil got in touch with me with the brilliant idea of Dashavatar, i just had to give life to this vision. Since the idea itself of India's premier metal band doing something from Indian mythology itself is a polarizing one, I had a dual responsibility to create a Vishnu that hadn't been seen before and one that was demonical and true to the band's legacy as well. Demonic Resurrection Crowd Funding New Album
India's metal veterans from Demonic Resurrection have announced the release of their fifth full-length studio album and launched a Pledge Music campaign here in support of the release. A tentative February, 2017 release date is expected, with the band commenting:
"More than money being a motivation, for us the pledge campaign was launched to share this experience with our fans before anyone else. I believe the fan-artist relationship is closer than ever and platforms like pledge music bypass the social media giants like Facebook and Twitter and let you interact with fans 1 on 1.
"So for us this campaign is about sharing the album name, tracklist, artwork, songs etc with the fans before anyone else. So we're really excited to embark on this journey. At this point we don't have any release details for how the album is released after the campaign but we are in talks with some labels, so fingers crossed." More...

Demonic Resurrection Splits With Guitarist
India's Demonic Resurrection has parted ways with guitarist Daniel Rego, who issued the following statement:
"To everyone who's listened to and supported Demonic Resurrection over all these years, thank you. My decision to part ways with the band is based on a simple fact - I no longer feel the same passion and connection with this style of music, in general.
"Demonic Resurrection is at a stage where it requires a 100% from everyone involved in order to move forward, and speaking as an individual musician, I feel I am no more in the musical and aesthetic space to fully give to the band what it deserves.
"I hope I will continue to receive your support in my endeavours in other musical idioms, a few of which will be formally announced in the near future. Until then, to quote a famous musician, ‘Cheers and stay Demonic!'" More...
