Music Videos To Get You In The Halloween Mood 3

That most metal of holidays is almost upon us again, but you may want something more than candy corn and blood colored cocktails to get you in the Halloween spirit this weekend. Earlier this month we covered the most over the top horror themed clips as well as videos that focus on the demonic and the diabolic, but that still leaves a good deal of ground to cover. For today’s edition of metal videos to get you in the Halloween mood we’ll take a look at the creepy, the atmospheric, and the disturbing.

Marilyn Manson – “This is Halloween”

While his metal cred is definitely questionable, Marilyn Manson does have the Halloween image down pat. Check out the quintessential “This is Halloween” clip below, set to scenes from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Ill Nino Premieres Video For "Against The Wall"

Metalunderground.com is proud to present the premiere of ILL NIÑO's latest music video for “Against The Wall,” the first video from their new album “Dead New World,” which was released on October 25th via Victory Records. The music video was directed by Scott Hansen, who has worked with bands such as A Day To Remember, The Devil Wears Prada, Otep, Alesana, and Evergreen Terrace, and was shot in Virginia Beach, VA in October.

“The video was shot in the evening so there was a large amount of bugs. It was like Spider-fest,” jokes drummer Dave Chavarri. “Bugs aside, Scott made sure everything worked smoothly. He’s a total professional, and it was great to see him take control of the shoot. We haven’t had someone work with us like that for a couple of years.”

“We did something like a 20 hour shoot in the swamps,” adds vocalist Cristian Machado. “Scott is a really driven individual. He knew exactly what he wanted, where he wanted people in the video, the camera angles he wanted to end up with, everything. He and his crew were extremely professional.”

“The reason we’re performing in the woods where there are no material things, is because we wanted to represent things that aren’t of the material world,” continues Machado. “The reason the couple is indoors during the video and going through their relationship battle is because they are being pressured by things in the material world. To me, the female character went into the water because she wanted to get away from all of the material things affecting her and their relationship. No matter how material we all are in this world, we all die alone.”

Check out the "Against The Wall" music video below:

You can also check out some behind-the-scenes shots from the video shoot here.

ILL NIÑO is expected to announce a brand new January tour very soon. This will be the first time the band is touring in the states in two years. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming tour.

Ill Nino Issues Studio Update

Latin Metal band ILL NIÑO is putting the final touches on their Victory debut, which has been slated for a fall release. ILL NIÑO drummer, Dave Chavarri has issued the following update:

"We wanted to inform you, on our progress recording the new CD! ILL NIÑO has been working around the clock writing and jamming everyday, and the new songs are coming out fuckin nuts!! After much thought, we have decided to title our new CD 'Dead New World.' Our new CD is everything you expect from ILL NIÑO's original Latin Metal sounds; it's heavy as fuck, full of Cristian growling vocals, melodic choruses, Tribal Latin rhythms, sick guitars, as well as also being the most progressive record we've ever recorded!"

"We have never put out the same CD twice, and our Victory Records release 'Dead New World' will prove that once again. We will be touring throughout 2010 and 2011, so joins us in our 'Dead New World'"
